It is not so easy to get to the Ascension Monastery yourself. The fact is that the entrance to it is hidden in an alley between two cafes. A narrow street will lead you to a green gate on which it is written: Russian Mission. The entrance is on the left through a green door, which is most often locked, so you will have to use the intercom. Break until 16:30 from 12:00, so count your arrival.

The Resurrection Monastery is one of the most wonderful places in Jerusalem. Visiting him is one solid positive. The place is truly amazing and holy (not "trampled" by tourists). The only disadvantage is free access. Not every Israeli car agrees to go to that area. And the door, as they say, is not always open (I really have always been lucky).
