I definitely recommend visiting Azərbaycan Milli Incəsənət Muzeyi — the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. Perhaps the European collection here is not as extensive as in the museums of Moscow or St. Petersburg, but it is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the paintings of Azerbaijani artists from different eras — from classical to modern art. I was particularly impressed by the works of 20th century artists: expressive portraits, landscapes, scenes from everyday life, executed with a subtle sense of color and composition. Some paintings literally attract the eye — you can stand in front of them for a long time, immersing yourself in the atmosphere and details. There were few visitors in the museum, which added a special charm: you can safely enjoy art, slowly, in silence. We spent about three hours in the museum, and that time flew by unnoticed. The space is conveniently organized: two buildings connected by a common hall. One is European art, the other is national art. There are also temporary exhibitions, which are worth visiting separately. The interiors of the museum are also very beautiful — there are places where you can take interesting photos, especially in the halls with stucco, mirrors and antique furniture. On the downside, there were no napkins or toilet paper in the bathroom, which was a bit surprising. The entrance fee is 13 manats per person (10 manats for a basic ticket, 3 manats for a temporary exhibition). If you are interested in art and want to feel the spirit of Azerbaijani painting, this place should definitely be included in the itinerary. We would love to come back here on our next visit to Baku.

The museum has a historical building and an annex, 3 storeys high. It features paintings, sculptures, antiques from the homes of wealthy citizens, and tiled fireplaces. There are originals by Borovikovsky, Bryullov, Vereshchagin, Aivazovsky, Korovin, Lentulov. Western European paintings by not very well-known authors, well-known, in my opinion, reproductions, like in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. The halls are small with beautiful ceiling decorations with inlaid parquet. At the moment, the museum is undergoing renovation, and you can find a way out only under the guidance of the caretakers of the halls, who follow you from hall to hall. There are no cafes, toilets on every floor of the Soviet period of the 60s. We enjoyed a modern photo exhibition based on the works of Diego Rivera. The exhibition material is rather chaotically displayed, as is my habit from the Tretyakov Gallery. Even the Saratov University. Radishchev's exposition was more understandable, but this is a purely subjective opinion.

It's a good museum. An interesting diverse exhibition - you can get acquainted with Azerbaijani culture and traditions, as well as with the works of Eastern, Western European and Russian artists. We recommend you to visit, especially if you are in Baku for a long time. In November 25, a 10 manat ticket for foreign citizens is more than an adequate price, considering the prices of museums in Moscow.

A magnificent building, magnificent interiors in the part where world art is located. The interiors are in perfect condition. The halls are equipped with the latest museum technology. The collection of world art is quite meager, eclectic, and there are many copies. Russian art stands out: there is Aivazovsky (not the sea), Shishkin, Korovin, Makovsky, Borovikovsky, Tropinin, Lentulov, Rozanova, Antokolsky, Opekushin, etc. The collection of Azerbaijani paintings is specific, it gives a certain idea of the fine arts of Azerbaijan. In general, it's worth going if you have time and you love painting. Clearly not a masterpiece of Baku.

We are very glad that we were able to visit the museum, despite the New Year's Eve schedule. The museum has an interesting collection of works of art by both world authors and Azerbaijani culture. We purchased a ticket for 10 manats for the main exhibitions. We watched the exhibition of world culture on the 1st and 2nd floors, as well as Azerbaijani culture on the 3rd and 4th floors. I recommend it to everyone to visit!

The entrance is through a "glass door," as the local museum staff said, i.e. a glass door. The ticket is 10 manat. The toilets suck. On the 2nd floor there are interesting ceramics and paintings from different times of Azerbaijan, especially from the Soviet period. The 3rd floor (entrance through the second) is much more modest. On the ground floor (basement) there is a vinaigrette of paintings and objects of different eras and styles, as in the museum of local lore, as they say, what happened... Accordingly, I liked the 2nd floor more, as the most complete and interesting...

The exposition is small, located on two floors. There are beautiful interiors and a collection of paintings inside. Plus there are 2-3 temporary exhibitions. I recommend taking an audio guide. The ticket price is 10 manat In addition to cash, the union pay card is accepted for payment On Saturday, the museum was open from 11:00 a.m.

The National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan. The entrance ticket traditionally costs 10 manats for foreign citizens. Plus, if you want to get to temporary exhibitions, this is another three manats for each exhibition. A wonderful museum. I don't understand why citizens have so much negativity from visiting this museum. In my opinion, everything is very wonderful. You will find what you are looking for. The art of France, Holland, Germany and of course Russian art. There are many works by local Azerbaijani artists. You can talk for a long time about what you like and what you don't like. In my opinion, it's a matter of taste. Just come and enjoy the world's masterpieces of art. The words in the reviews are a useless element, you just need to come and see with your own eyes.

A beautiful museum, a rich exposition. Basically, you can go directly to the 3rd floor and temporary exhibitions. It is the art of Azerbaijan that is there. On the 1st and 2nd floors there are works of art from Iran, China, Russia, Holland, Italy, France. This is something that many museums in other countries have, in my opinion. Temporary exhibitions - a separate ticket for 3 manats. An interesting feature is that here in Baku, the caretakers follow you. As I understand it, they have 1 caretaker on half a floor and that's why they literally follow you. Anyway, that's how it was with us.

It's not a bad museum. Connoisseurs of painting are recommended to visit. It is surprising that under a far-fetched pretext they may not be allowed into one of the halls. There aren't many visitors, the caretakers are following you around. But they are benevolent

It is the best museum in Baku in terms of the wealth of expositions. I will not tell you - it is necessary to go and take a guide. The head is Rafael Huseynov, not an ordinary, outstanding man, our contemporary and a guide of great culture through time! Thanks to the museum staff! Chokhsau!

Excellent gallery, you need to count on a minimum of 2-3 hours of stay. Not everything is eye-popping, of course, but there are whole halls where you go through every piece.

The building is wonderful, the interiors are beyond praise, the staff are polite and pleasant. The gallery itself is not bad, but I don't really like these trends, which are represented in world painting. But I conquered the underground of Azerbaijani authors and in general, I like the paintings of local masters. Anyway, I recommend to visit, especially on a rainy, cold day. By the way, it's too hot inside, so you can leave everything in the wardrobe of the lovely employees and go in a T-shirt to absorb art. There are a lot of ceramics, porcelain, and crystal. Carpets and metal products are presented in an interesting way. In general, I liked the filling of the second building (the art of Azerbaijan).

A large collection, I would like to mention the work of Vasily Pukirev "Interrupted wedding" and the work of local artists. The color scheme is amazing, they take a pure color. The museum itself has a winter garden, next to the museum is a square with a fountain.

The Art Gallery of Azerbaijan. It is located in two buildings - one presents the art of local craftsmen, the other mansion - world art. You can take a guide (costs 12 manats, 1.5 hours). I went with a tour guide, but I still didn't really like the collections. Paintings by local artists were not impressed, world art is a small collection. I liked the Russian painting in the last halls the most.

Alas, this is one of the worst fine arts museums I've seen. The museum has no concept, a very fragmented display, very weak attributions, no fundamental bright spots, no presentation of its own...

Today I decided to go to one of the museums located in Baku, the Azerbaijan National Art Museum. It was my first time in a museum in Baku, and I didn't like a lot of things. Firstly, when buying a ticket, it was said that if you take pictures, you have to pay 5 manats per person. Since we are students, our pass cost 2 manats, so we bought a ticket for 2 manats. While walking around the museum, the staff following us said that we were not allowed to take pictures unless we bought a ticket to take pictures. Of course, I didn't like that it was, usually photographing in museums is allowed or strictly prohibited, but here you need to pay more to take pictures. It's the first time I've come across this, it's a very stupid rule. Secondly, there was no necessary information on all the exhibits, and thirdly, the personnel who walk and watch you at your heels all the time, of course, this bothers a person, because they do not let you walk around the museum calmly, they look at a person with a dissatisfied look. While we were walking around the museum, one of the staff was sitting on one of the exhibition chairs in the assembly hall on the second floor. Two visitors entered the hall and sat down on chairs because they were tired, but the staff reacted aggressively and ordered the visitors to stand up. If this is an exhibit, then the staff must follow the same rules as the visitors! In short, the museum and exhibits were interesting, but everything that happened spoiled my impression.
