The largest Orthodox church in the city of Burgas was built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It looks like a cathedral in architecture, but to be honest, I don't know if it really is. In the early 2000s, the Burgasians almost destroyed the church, deciding to build an underground parking lot next to it (right under the walls). The Lord probably doesn't know why it was in this place and under the church, but the cathedral building cracked and began to sag. Rescue work was carried out until 2016 (this is official), and the scaffolding was removed even later. Burgas is not famous for its abundance of historical monuments and attractions, but the church is one of the few that is. It is located in the very center, close to two main pedestrian streets - Alexandrovskaya and Aleko Bogoridi. The temple is interesting both from the outside and inside in terms of decoration and church interior. The photo shows the church itself and the street of the same name, connecting the square of the same name with the already mentioned Alexandrovskaya Street.
