Once a year, in the last week before Lent, the world famous carnival takes place here! For three days in a row, 6 samba schools present their carnival programs, lasting 1 hour. It starts at 10 p.m. and lasts until morning. Schools compete in costumes, dance, coherence, and the beauty of the platforms. Every year, each school develops a new concept for its show. The jury selects the winner, who performs on Saturday, at the winners' procession. In terms of scale and grandeur, there is nothing like it in the whole world. Schools have been preparing for carnival all year. Carnival days in Brazil are official weekends. Everyone should feel the atmosphere of this carnival at least once in their life.
