A wonderful pick-up point! I want to express my gratitude! The work of the staff is at the highest level! The parcel arrived quickly (taking into account the fact that it was delivered from the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation) and without problems, tracking is clear, and most importantly - on time and without delay! After an unsuccessful experience with Russian Post, SDEK has become a real salvation! Excellent speed, accuracy in calculations, and most importantly, the staff! Refusal to accept a shipment without objective reasons. They refused to accept the monitor in its original packaging with foam protection without a wooden crate, they did not offer any alternatives, and advised them to contact another carrier. As a result, the same cargo was shipped via Belpost — faster and cheaper. ⸻ On January 5, I submitted an application to the SDEC in advance to receive the shipment: a Xiaomi 27’ monitor in its original packaging, as well as two screwdrivers in cases. On January 6, I called a taxi and brought the cargo to the SDEC point. The employee asked to see the shipment and open the box with the monitor. The monitor was in its original packaging with foam protective inserts, fully ready for transportation. Despite this, I was informed that a wooden crate or box is required, since, I quote, "the loader can throw boxes or put something heavy on top." To my question, why do this if it is obvious from the packaging that the monitor is inside and it is already protected, the staff referred to the "rules of transportation". At the same time, in the rules shown, we were talking about a monitor without packaging, which I paid special attention to. The answer was again a formal one: "We have such rules." I suggested an alternative — to label it "Fragile". At the same time, another client was given a cardboard box covered with "Fragile" tape, which I also pointed out to the staff. Nevertheless, they continued to insist solely on the wooden crate. When I asked if I should contact another carrier, the staff replied indifferently: "Contact me." As a result, I had to take a taxi again and go to Belpost. There, the employee inspected the factory packaging, did not require any wooden crates, offered to glue the cargo with "Fragile" tape and accepted the shipment without any problems. The cost of delivery was 37 rubles, whereas in the SDEC, according to a preliminary request, it was 47 rubles, excluding the wooden box. On January 8, at 10:30, I received an SMS about the delivery of the cargo. The attached photos show that the monitor was in its original packaging with protective foam and labeling.
