Sometimes the best places are just around the corner from your hotel. That's how it happened with the Serbethane Cafe & Restaurant — we stumbled upon it by chance while walking through the evening Sultanahmet. We just wanted to have dinner somewhere nearby, but we found a real gem. The cafe doesn't stand out from the outside, but once you enter, you enter another world. The city center and peace are wonderfully combined here. Tourists pass by, hurrying to the Blue Mosque, and inside there is soft light, warm air, quiet music and conversations in low voices. In the courtyard, there is a terrace hidden from prying eyes, which offers an incredible view of the Blue Mosque — its domes seem very close, as if you could touch them with your hand. We settled down by the window and ordered testi kebabs, manti and tavuk kanat — chicken wings, which are served here with smoke, a ruddy crust and a light aroma of spices. When the waiter brought out a testi kebab—a clay pot with meat and vegetables sealed with dough—it looked like a small ritual. You break the lid, and the aroma escapes from inside — rich, spicy, real taste. But ... in general, you will not find any strong difference from homemade stew. Spectacular, no doubt, delicious, of course, but I can't tell you that you've never tried something like this in your life. And the cost of this pleasure is not cheap, it is in this cafe that 3.6 k (in Russian rubles) can be found cheaper, but for less than 1.6 k (Russian rubles) you won't find it.

You can come in for coffee or tea.In the evening, the price tags go through the roof, just like everyone else's.The cuisine is almost the same for everyone, but each restaurant has its own tricks.Cleanliness and order are maintained. The staff is smiling, they try to understand Russian and please the client.
