Went to this place in May 2025 and had a really good experience so decided to go again this year. But it seems like it was a mistake. The staff was so rude. There are only 2 tables there but we had to wait for over 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we were even there. The food was not as good as it used to be. After eating when we asked for the bill, the waitress rudely told us to wait 5 minutes and went outside to smoke. She came back inside after about 5 minutes, went into the kitchen and didn't come out. We had to ring the bell on the counter again and ask for the bill even. I do not recommend this place and I am never coming back

It's a cool place. It's very atmospheric. Friendly people working, delicious food. I came across this place at a very stressful moment in my life, and it really helped me switch places. I'm willing to give five stars even for that. In general, I went specifically for onions in chickpea flour for the first time, I liked it in other cities. They cook a different recipe here, but they said they were ready to meet halfway and even change something. I tried a couple more dishes on other occasions. I tried masala tea. It's a very atmospheric place. We were lucky, the owner of the establishment served us, and we immediately felt the attitude towards the customers. It's like coming to a friend, feeding, drinking, listening. I think there are few such establishments in the city. The food is delicious, the portions are large, and you can order one dish for several people to try everything. The drinks are also very tasty. The child liked everything. Good design, facilities. I had three courses: tomato soup, chicken with rice and massala tea. They put the rice in pieces from the chicken (they put the chicken dried up, I wanted to ask them to redo it, but there was no one in the hall). I decided to eat as it was, so as not to argue. I didn't like the tea either, it doesn't taste like India at all. In the end, it was just soup, and I attached a photo. Also one of the disadvantages is the waitress, with signs of alcoholism on her face, her face is red and painful, which in my opinion repels the guests. As a result, the visit turned out to be not tasty and without the proper level of service.

Of the three Asian establishments I know in Vitebsk (there are also Thai and Chinese ones in the city) it's the most delicious and the only authentic. Food is just happiness, especially when you are already tired of draniki. I came hungry, but I could only eat half a portion of cotta, took the other one with me and finished it in the evening at the hotel, remembering the kind words of the owner and the cook.

We had a delicious meal with the family in Saffron. We ordered a lot of Indian dishes: paneer, chicken curry, a complex dish with chickpeas, rice, chicken, vegetables, dessert and flatbread, separate flatbreads with spices and butter, mango lassi, tomato soup and tom yam. I enjoyed everything incredibly. The food is prepared with love. There was a feeling of fullness in my stomach for a long time. Due to the large amount of spices, there was no feeling of heaviness. On the contrary, it is satisfying, tasty, healthy and affordable. The child really liked the paneer, tortillas and musical instruments in the second hall. The staff are polite and pleasant to talk to. Thanks to all the staff of this establishment for a wonderful dinner.

I highly recommend this place to everyone! Here you can not only taste real colorful Indian cuisine, but also have an interesting time and learn a lot of new things. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the restaurant and its owner Sandip for their hospitality, high culinary skills and pleasant company. We spent our weekends in Vitebsk, and went to Saffron for dinner. And this, in my opinion, was the best solution! After dinner, a heavy downpour began, there were about 10 minutes left before the restaurant closed, and we didn't even have umbrellas with us. Sandeep did not ask us to leave the establishment due to the end of the working day, but offered to stay longer, told us his story and invited us to the second hall. In the 2nd hall there were musical percussion instruments, Indian literature, comfortable sofas and much more. Sandeep gave me a master class on the percussion instrument glucophone, told me about the principles of sound production, and also talked to me about Indian music. The next time we gather in Vitebsk, we will definitely visit Saffron again, because it is more than just a cafe!
