We really enjoyed warm atmosphere and some Indian ceremonies. We tried lunch for students and it was delicious 🤤.
Also we bought some incense sticks.

I highly recommend this place to everyone! Here you can not only taste real colorful Indian cuisine, but also have an interesting time and learn a lot of new things. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the restaurant and its owner Sandip for their hospitality, high culinary skills and pleasant company.
We spent our weekends in Vitebsk, and went to Saffron for dinner. And this, in my opinion, was the best solution! After dinner, a heavy downpour began, there were about 10 minutes left before the restaurant closed, and we didn't even have umbrellas with us. Sandeep did not ask us to leave the establishment due to the end of the working day, but offered to stay longer, told us his story and invited us to the second hall. In the 2nd hall there were musical percussion instruments, Indian literature, comfortable sofas and much more. Sandeep gave me a master class on the percussion instrument glucophone, told me about the principles of sound production, and also talked to me about Indian music.
The next time we gather in Vitebsk, we will definitely visit Saffron again, because it is more than just a cafe!

Special thanks for the sincere and warm attitude of the staff (the girl seemed to communicate in three languages!)) We even got to know the founder and director of the institution, Kumar Sandeep, a sociable and amiable person. We took an acquaintance dish, we liked everything very much, you will be offered to remove the sharpness or make it brighter, in general, the attitude towards the guests, as if they had visited friends. We visited this wonderful institution with the whole family. It was cozy, delicious and interesting. My son appreciated the Chicken butter and chicken curry, I appreciated the chicken soup, everyone liked the mango lassi drink... The musical instrument "Staff of Rain" gave pleasure to my husband. In June 2024, you had a company of musicians, whom you welcomed in the best traditions! We held an excellent master class on playing the glucophone, sheltered during the pouring rain! They told us in detail about the menu, gave recommendations and offered delicious pita bread to our dishes. It turned out to be really tastier with him. I must say right away that if you want a lot of Instagram photos, then you are not here. You won't find cool fancy interiors and all that. It's just a soulful place with very tasty food. I love going there. The host is very hospitable, and will talk, and will advise the dish. Cozy, without pathos, in the Indian style. There aren't many tables, but that's a plus for me. The walls are hand-painted, it is interesting to consider. There are musical instruments, books. You can ask for paper and markers. My daughter likes that you can play musical instruments, no one forbids anything and does not look askance. In general, for me it is a place where I can relax and eat delicious food. And the prices, by the way, are very affordable)

Saffron is a place with delicious and inexpensive cuisine, and customer orientation as in restaurants. We ordered a lot of different dishes on trial, we liked them all. They consulted on the menu: they talked about popular dishes, which is better combined with what, and clarified the level of sharpness. After the dishes were brought, they asked if they liked everything. She said that they did not notice the difference between slightly spicy and non-spicy rice, they brought additives to enhance the sharpness of the dish (for which they did not even charge). They didn't eat everything — they packed it for us. In general, the place is wonderful, I will recommend it to my friends!

A great place, initially there was doubt about visiting it, but after reading the reviews we decided to try it!
The cuisine is great: Indian pilaf, flatbread (with cheese; potatoes), butter chicken, Masala tea, dessert- carrot halva!
Everything turned out to be very tasty, the Indian atmosphere and light music added flavor!
Whenever possible, we will visit this place again!

A beautiful, very underrated place.
Delicious and inexpensive. Good discounts for students. The kitchen was pleasantly surprised. Moderately spicy dishes. Even unaccustomed to it, it was delicious. Large portions and desserts with drinks are unusual. Waiting no more than 15 minutes. I highly recommend visiting. The pleasant friendly staff and the atmosphere itself are very immersed in an oriental fairy tale.

К нам отнеслись очень тепло!!!
Будете в Витебске - обязательно загляните сюда! Заказывали Чиз котту - очень сытное, достаточно нежное и приятное блюда, в меру количество специй. Муж попробовал Тхали. Тоже все очень вкусно и красиво. Манго Ласси (на фото), напиток с пюре магно, кокосом, шафраном и простоквашей - просто восторг!!! Мне одного стакана было мало! На втором фото творожный шарики и чай. Тесто у шариков достаточно пресное (на мой взгляд), но шарики очень пропитаны сиропом. В итоге получилось по-восточному вкусно! Простой черный чай подали в высоком стакане. Не знаю, что именно это за чай, но вкус насыщенный приятный, а я знаю толк в черных чаях.
Рекомендую! Я была в Витебске впервые, и в следующий раз если попаду в Витебск, обязательно первым делом есть отправимся именно в "Шафран"!

Безумно вкусно, особенно тем кто любит остренькое, а цены чисто символические. Атмосфера индии кругом. Отношение персонала замечательное, очень общительные и приятные. Так же можно приобрести классные специи прямиком из Индии, и не только их. Теперь это заведение одно из любимых)

I ordered butter chicken, rice, gulab jamun and masala tea. I liked everything. When ordering, they asked for the desired sharpness of the meat. Butter chicken is thick, the meat is soft. The portion of rice is good, the basmati rice is crumbly. The tea is good. It is often done frankly badly, as if you drink water with a drop of milk. Everything worked out here: the taste is quite rich, the spices are felt. I tried dessert for the first time. Delicious.
There was an Indian owner in the establishment. We had a little time to chat. It's great when the kitchen is set by someone who knows the recipe from the inside. It is significant that foreigners who look like Hindus/Pakistanis come here. I suppose it's for the taste of native dishes.
I recommend the restaurant to lovers and those who want to get acquainted with Indian cuisine.

Отличное заведение! Выше всех похвал. Вкусно накормили, учли все пожелания в еде. Помогли нам вызвать такси. Мы были проездом и нужна была помощь. Отнеслись с пониманием и помогли нам.

Приезжали в Витебск на выходные, случайно проходили мимо и решили зайти. Не пожалели ни грамма. Внутри приятная атмосфера в индийском стиле. Очень дружелюбный хозяин кафе посоветовал нам блюда, вся еда оказалась супер вкусной, мне кажется, что вкуснее я давно ничего не ела. Причем понравилась всей нашей компании, хотя у нас всех довольно разные вкусы в еде. Чудесное место, достатка Вам и процветания.

Сегодня в первый раз посетили с мужем это прекрасное место. Еда, абсолютно вся, что мы попробовали, очень вкусная, атмосфера очень душевная, имбирное вино 10/10. Хозяин гостеприимный и общительный, персонал дружелюбный и приятный. Обязательно будем посещать кафе "Шафран". Рекомендую всем 🙂

Замечательное кафе в индийском стиле, вежливый хозяин и персонал. Жаль, что было вегетарианским, а теперь там готовят мясо, что в принципе не отличает от остальных. Но блюда вкусные, рекомендую сходить и попробовать индийскую кухню. Ещё бы добавила больше индийских сладостей, их мало.
