A great museum, compact but very interesting. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the history of Egypt. This is the second time we've been here.
You can only pay by card (Russian ones do not work), but for Russian citizens there is an option - payment in pounds upon presentation of a passport (or a copy of it, we were sold tickets according to the data indicated in travel vouchers).
Opening hours must be viewed separately on their website, because the museum is closed during the day in summer and opens late at night.

A small recommendation for visiting the museum: it is better to go by taxi on your own, and if with an excursion from a tour operator, then specify the number of people in advance!
We chose an excursion from the tour operator Selfie Travel and regretted it.
1. There were a lot of people, it was unbearable to walk in a crowd near each exhibit. Add in more babies in strollers, which sometimes drowned out the guide's speech.
2. The guide was very wrong about historical facts (for example, the longest river in the world) and some facts from his speech did not match the signatures of the exhibits.
3. Our tour included a trip to the dancing fountains. Don't get fooled! There's an ordinary city fountain, just with lighting and music))
4. The tour itself will take you all day, because it will take a lot of time to gather people from other hotels.

A great museum! The whole history of Egypt is shown in a very modern and organic way through various antiquities from different eras. I really liked it. And it looked much better than the museum in Cairo.

There are a lot of expositions including real crocodile mummies and women.
A relatively small museum. They give headphones to the whole group, everything is perfectly audible.
Everyone has their own guide, the one who came with the group. All Egyptian guides have a good level of Russian)

The museum is a masterpiece: well-placed exposition, light, a lot of space, I really hope that the exhibits that are gathering dust in the archives of famous major museums in Egypt will be transported here. I visited the museum as part of a sightseeing tour of the Charm from the tour operator, I did not find any other ways) unfortunately, they did not offer a separate tour. I dream of returning to this museum again, but with a separate long tour and with a professional guide. The knowledge of tour operator guides is very limited and is not designed for an audience seriously interested in the history of Egypt

We are vacationing in Sharma in July 2024. We were looking for information on reviews about this museum, located near our hotel. As a result, at their own risk, they called a taxi and went at 8 p.m. (it says here that it works after 8 p.m.), took dollars, there is no card. As a result, we need passports (we have not seen this information anywhere), they were approached by photos of our passports. Payment by card or in pounds. As a result, we asked the taxi driver or the bus driver nearby to help, he paid, we gave him dollars with interest)
The museum is gorgeous, it is a pity that it is not popular and is practically not used.

A great place to touch an ancient civilization.
There are almost no people. The exhibits are just great. Mummies are annoying for both animals and people. The sensations are trembling ...

A beautiful museum, a large pavilion, but there are not enough expositions. Although everything was done very coolly. We were in the evening, quietly wandered for about 40 minutes, there were no more visitors. The only drawback is that all the signs are only in Arabic and English, there are no audio guides. On this visit to Sharm, I went to the new museum, since it was across the street from the hotel. The main thing is that the guides do not talk about it, I learned about its existence from bloggers. The building is wide, modern, with platforms and steps, quite stylish, both outside and inside. The designers played well with texture and light. Huge halls, a sense of space, excellent air conditioning. The visual range is divided into several periods: Pharaonic, Greco-Roman and Islamic. If you can roughly imagine the Pharaonic, the Greco-Roman back and forth, then you will definitely discover the Islamic one for yourself. He demonstrates the royal dynasty of Muhammad Ali. It was overthrown in the early 1950s. and there are plenty of beautiful objects left. For example, rare jewelry. Due to the fact that there is practically no advertising for the museum, I spent the entire visit listening to the sound of my footsteps and the slight coughing of security in the halls. A great opportunity to see unique exhibits without leaving the city and within walking distance from the hotel. This opportunity should not be missed. Yes, you need to take into account the working hours, there is a long break during the day.

An interesting museum, but it is still under development. A huge, but still undeveloped territory, but the exposition is worth getting acquainted with it. I especially recommend the imitation of the tomb. It is necessary to visit it (it is under the boat).
It should be noted that payment for a ticket is ONLY by card, and Russian ones are not accepted.

I recommend you to go on this fascinating journey through the antiquities of Egypt. Just take a taxi yourself. I do not recommend a "sightseeing tour" with the group. Although of course if you like to stop by on the way to the shops, then please.

Музей понравился ! Но час простояли на входе ((( придумали 2 дня назад новые правила - оплата только картой. Взрослый 200 фунтов, детский 100 фунтов.
Конечно все туристы из России в шоке и стояли на входе в ожидании решения проблемы. Скопилось несколько семей.
Договориться с персоналом отдать наличные Египетские фунты, а они своей картой оплатят - не получилось. Для них это чревато наказанием от руководства. Персонал сам понимает проблему, но помочь не могут.
Руководитель предложил написать ✍🏻 жалобу на бумаге - так он сможет повлиять на министра, чтобы тот отменил оплату только картой.
Спасла всех девушка из Украины. Оплатила за всех картой, а мы ей все отдали 💵 🇺🇸

There is an audio and live Russian-speaking guide. In general, it is excellent, the exhibits are original, the age and strength of the Egyptian people are felt. I liked everything, the entrance is on the map, the world is not valid. Ask the taxi driver to pay for the tickets and you give him cash. Admission is children's 100 adult 200 pounds.

Очень красивое место. Но самое лучшее это магазин Ювелирки и косметики. Цены самые низкие в Шарме. Был много раз в Шарме и самое дешевле место нашел именно тут.

Отличное место, все экспонаты оригинал, а не новодел как в некоторых местах. Экскурсия интересная . Для тех кто не был в Каирском музее шанс увидеть своими глазами кусочек истории.

Приехали за 200 фунтов на такси. Оплата только картой. Так как из России то деньги были только наличные и карта мир. С карты мир оплата не прошла. Народу нет кто мог бы помочь с картой. Жара невыносимая, развернулись, поймали такси и вернулись за 100 фунтов. Короче в музей не попали(((
