I was in Shovi in 1980, when I made the crossing from Nalchik through the Geze-vtsek pass as part of a tourist group. The trip was unforgettable! We descended from the snowy peaks and walked along the beautiful Rioni River, admiring the beauty of the mountainous regions of Georgia. We rested at the campsite for several days, it's not forgotten! It is a pity that the photos have not been preserved...

I was in Shovi in 1969. It was a crossing of the Geze-Vek pass from Kabardino-Balkaria to Georgia. The route was not easy, but unforgettable. Now I would give a lot for such an ascent. But this is unrealistic.
