They were not allowed into the temple. Inside is a sacred phallic symbol. We took a photo outside and moved on. There are many inexpensive souvenirs for sale nearby.

Of course, we were not allowed into the temple itself as foreigners..but at the temple itself, before the service, there were ritual dances, a gorgeous hunchback and a snow-white bull...once I got to Gokarna itself, I plunged somewhere into the land of fairy tales..these streets, everyday life, food, clothes and mummified scarecrows..it was very impressive and remained in my memory))
