The Medeo skating rink is a very atmospheric place among the mountains. There are several sessions, the price varies for them : morning (10-12:30)
- detsk. ticket - 500 tng,
adult - 1000
Session from 13:30-16:30- adult- 2000 tng
The session is from 19:00 to 23:00, - adults 2500tng.
Rent on the ground floor costs -2000 tng per pair + deposit of documents or money (from 10000 tng).
There is also a rental on the second floor, there are already "leather" figure skates, I can't say anything about them, I didn't know about him and took plastic skates. They're terrible!! Not chiseled from the word at all!
Shoes can be left in the wardrobe for 300 tng. Tickets for the session are purchased online and paid for with a Kazakh bank card, but there is a cash desk that starts working at the same time as the session begins.
There is a sharpening on the rink, it costs 1500tng, which I used to at least ride in a circle and not fall. You can use a plastic construction or a plastic whale to help beginners.
The rink has toilets, food trucks with drinks and food. There are Stewarts who keep order. Ice is poured before each session. There were a lot of people. Check the box that says you went for a ride on the famous skating rink.

Beautiful mountains, beautiful Shymkent. I was here once in summer and the second time in winter. Very different impressions. Mountain Shymkent is very active, fascinating and motivating for sports. But sports are not cheap. The entrance is 7,500 at all three points, the highest is 3,200 m. Equipment skiers rent 20 thousand. There is a paraglider 60 thousand 15 minutes. It's very beautiful upstairs, you can take a photo for a fee of 2000 tenge per photo. There are a lot of people. Queues for the funicular. But you must definitely visit.

Our company was very lucky - the whole time we were riding on the Zimbulak, the weather was perfectly sunny and windless!
I was also very pleased that in the morning all the tracks were perfectly prepared, drilled and leveled. Trails are suitable for every taste, ranging from light green to red. I haven't seen any openly black trails there, and I don't need them - I haven't been an extreme rider for a long time, I just ride, enjoying the speed, sliding and turns.

There is a lot to say about this ski resort. This is a favorite vacation spot not only for Almaty residents, but also for tourists from different countries. There is everything here: mountains, forests, and mountain rivers. Mushrooms and berries in summer. The nature is very picturesque.

A great resort. I haven't been to the Alps, it's probably even steeper there... I think the prices are adequate, equipment rental is cheaper than in Abzakovo. There are stones on the tracks, ratlers are severely reprimanded (even on corduroy I saw stones).

You know, the price increase for skiing, which was on Friday, December 13th, is quite painful. The youth tariff, which was used by students, was removed. Bad work on the slope, according to the explanation of the rules of conduct: they sit everywhere, all over the slope, hence the injuries, beginners do not read the signs in the booths until they are knocked down, and they will continue to sit!
Earlier we talked about a kind of "mountain police" for those who violate the rules of behavior on the slope, but who is still there!
On a small patch, in front of the station on the descent to the Medeo, events are always held, as a result of which there is simply not enough room for movement! Can't something be done about it too? On weekends and without any auction events, this nickel will not be crowded! I understand that restaurants should earn money, but there should also be a place for a comfortable stay! Traffic jams on the slope and on the playground!
We made a skip for the training slope, this is a big plus! Well done

We were blocked from ski passes because we went up on the lift without equipment, we had to buy a separate ticket. Well, these are the rules, but we were not informed about this when buying a subscription. There was no written information at the checkout, as we should have guessed that buying a ski pass for the whole day, we would not be able to use it in some cases. At the same time, there are a lot of people who do not buy anything at all and just climb over the turnstiles and ride a package down the slope, no one tells them anything. And we paid for an all-day subscription, equipment and accommodation, and we were still wrong. We won't come here anymore because of this attitude.
