The gate to the old town of Side is a must-see stop, great photos are taken here, and if you have free time, I definitely recommend driving through them on local transport, the so-called steam locomotive (a tractor in the form of a train with one car attached to it, entertainment for tourists), costs pennies, and gives you a ton of emotions. Just take care of your head and keep your head down while driving through the gate itself (my wife almost punched her head in pursuit of a beautiful video). After passing through the city wall of the old city, Side does not leave the feeling that he has fallen into the past. The authorities are trying their best to preserve this ancient appearance.

I was very impressed by the Old Town of Side. We had a great walk, touched the history. It was August 26, 2025, and it was very hot, but everything was very interesting, beautiful, and clean. Entrance to the ruins is paid, only cash and only lira are accepted.
