It is a very beautiful place, which can be reached from Demre by water or by car to the mountain where the fortress is located. The peninsula offers stunning views of the surrounding area and Kekova Island. The fortress of Simena and the Lycian necropolis are also impressive. For those who like to swim with a mask, there is a beautiful sea and the ruins of an ancient civilization right in the water.

A must-visit! Incredibly well preserved: stone sarcophagi, ruins of a fortress on a hill, an ancient theater overlooking the sea and islands. It's not much to climb, but the view from above is mesmerizing — it's worth the effort! They usually get there from the sea, by boat — already from the water there is a stunning view of the ruins and Lycian tombs. There are cozy restaurants with fresh fish in the village itself — I advise you to try the grill on the shore. Cons: — There is little shade, it is very hot in summer — take water and a hat — It can be crowded because of the tour groups — Entrance is paid, but inexpensive (something in the region of 250 liras per person for 2022) A story that you can touch with your hands! Ideal for lovers of antiquities and atmospheric photos. It is better to combine it with a trip to Kekova
