An interesting place. It is believed that the synagogue was built in 1912, but there is another option – 1902. It is thought that the reason for this inaccuracy in dates is because the building was rebuilt from an old synagogue. The synagogue in Oshmyany was built of red brick in the traditional Jewish style, but with certain local features and atypical techniques.Externally, the building is rather strict, rectangular in shape, without bright expressive frills, but with decorative elements. For example, the stained glass rose window located above the entrance stands out well.

The synagogue is considered one of the most interesting among the Jewish prayer houses preserved on the territory of Belarus, although it was built just over a century ago – in 1912. After the outbreak of World War II, the synagogue was closed and the local Jewish community was destroyed. After that, the building was used as a warehouse for a long time. Today it belongs to the local museum of local lore. The exterior decor is not rich. The only thing that catches the eye is the unusual three-tiered roof. There is a rose window above the entrance. But the interior of the synagogue has been preserved quite well. This applies to some architectural elements, but first of all – the colorful frescoes decorating the ceiling and walls.

There is an Architectural monument plaque on the building. It is protected by the state. No more words are needed. The photos speak for themselves.
