The square in the very center of the city is the most central. One of the smallest in area and the best in condition. It is bounded on one side by the regional drama theater, on the other sides by Lenin Square and the very beginning of Sovetskaya Street. Recently, the condition of the park is close to ideal. Its attractions include a standing carriage, a monument to Kirill Turovsky himself and an index post with signs marking the distances to the twin cities of Gomel, among which you can see the names Clermont-Ferrand (France), Aberdeen, Anapa, Magnitogorsk, Voronezh, Novi Sad, Chernihiv and many others. Cyril Turovsky, after whom the square is named, was a Christian theologian of the XII century, who lived in the Pinsk-Turov principality.
