The palace church (Slottschurkan), was built in the middle of the XVIII century, when the castle was rebuilt after a great fire. She doesn't look Protestant at all - lush Baroque, lots of jewelry. The altar repeats the altar of the Basilica of San Paolo Maggiore in Bologna. French artists worked here. Along the side walls there are figures of the six apostles (Andrew, Bartholomew, James, John, Matthew and Peter). The entrance to the church is in the same entrance as the entrance to the Royal Treasury (Skattkammaren). Unlike the treasury, the entrance to the church is free and you can take photos.
