The Sno Fortress (sometimes called Gudushauri Castle). It is built of crushed stone and black slate. It is located on a cliff at an altitude of about 540 meters above sea level. It consists of a single tower and an almost circular wall with loopholes and holes to protect against enemy attacks. In the past, it occupied an important strategic position — it closed the North Sea gorge, from where it was possible to reach other mountainous regions of Georgia. It was once part of the possessions of Shiola Gudushauri, a 17th-century warrior from the local Khevsuri people. Historical records do not specify the exact date of the fortress' construction. According to historians, it was erected at the turn of the XVI and XVII centuries. Currently, the fortress tower is not accessible to the public, but the fortress itself remains an open historical site and is part of a small village park.

A very curious place. The fortress itself will take 5-10 minutes, but if you're lucky, you can admire Kazbek. And there is also a plan with stone heads -idols nearby. It is high and cool here about 15gr. even in the middle of summer.
