We had a rest from August 3 to August 14, the territory is huge and very beautiful... The beach is a separate love❤white sand is a stunning azure Caribbean Sea with warm warm water) the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. The hotel is +16, then we only realized why - smoking is allowed... Everywhere (( it was a huge minus for us. The food is monotonous, but quite tasty. If you want to get closer to the locals, take a taxi + and these are elite cars + and rush with the wind) the hotel is located in a tourist area - there is nothing nearby, just go to the next hotel - there are shops there. It took us 2 hours to get on the tour, which was a long time, but we didn't regret it. If you go to Varadero, be sure to try a real pinacolada with Cuban rum on the way.. Mmm)

A good hotel for Cuba, a solid four. An interesting animation program, modernly decorated common areas, good renovation in the rooms. I especially liked the landscaping, it is clear that they are constantly working on the territory of the hotel, all the plants are neatly trimmed and well-groomed.
A clean beach is a 5-minute walk from the farthest building, a wide beach line, a lot of sun beds - it has never been a problem to find a few free ones.
What would you like to improve:
Room cleaning is quite superficial. No matter how many gifts in the form of jewelry, cosmetics and money were left to the maids, the maximum they would do would be to wind swans out of towels, wash the floors a little more diligently than usual, and give two bottles of water instead of one. The bed linen was never changed during the 2 weeks of stay, the mirrors and windows in the room were not wiped, although they were obviously dirty. It seems that the maids have very little time to clean, so they create more of an appearance of cleanliness than they actually clean.
Food: the choice and variety of dishes are excellent, but not everything is always fresh. It is suspected that some of the ready-made dishes are overused (from breakfast to lunch, from lunch to dinner), sometimes ignoring the fact that the product is already spoiled. The dishes had to be chosen very carefully. Sometimes there were pebbles in the food, once they found a small piece of wire in the noodles. Nevertheless, if you approach the choice of dishes selectively, you can always collect a plate of varied and delicious food.
Most likely, poor food quality is a problem for most Cuban hotels, and you can only hope for always fresh and well-prepared food in luxury five-star hotels, which this hotel does not belong to.
Staff:
For the most part, the staff are friendly, try to help in everything and resolve issues. I would also like to mention the excellent work of Liset, who helped us with changing rooms to a better one, was always responsive and was the first to approach us and ask if we liked everything and if our vacation was going well. Thanks to Liset, the impression of the hotel is much better than it could have been.

An amazing place where you want to come back again and again! We were with my husband in 2020, I'm thrilled! The hotel, the service, the food, the atmosphere, the beach and of course the ocean!
We checked in without waiting, but the room faced the road. We asked the reception for a replacement and the next day we were already enjoying in a new spacious room with a wonderful view! The food is varied, drinks. The price includes boating once. The beach is clean, the sun beds are in good condition.
We got to Valentine's Day, booked a table on the beach (for an additional fee. Payment) were delighted! Everything is delicious and not expensive!
We recommend it!

Great hotel, super location, it's very good that it's not big, everything is within walking distance, the territory is very beautiful, the beach is magnificent, the ocean sand is just magical, the staff is great, everyone will always help, direct where you need, the most important thing is that everything is available, the bar is 1 min from the beach. Entertainment all day, at sea from 10 to 13 the animation is very cool, at the pool there is also entertainment throughout the day. You will always find something to eat. The food for Cuba is very good, but if you compare it with Egypt, for example, this is about the level of three stars in nutrition, but the price is completely different, of course! The rooms are tired, but they are also very good by Cuban standards!)) The territory of the hotel is excellent, bars, ala kart restaurant, beach bar! The animation is both by the pool and on the beach, the rum in the bar is very good! Rock bands and various artists come a couple of times a week, the show is no worse than a rock concert! I would like to note that the artists perform at all the hotels in a row, so it does not depend on the hotel which one you take, the sea is just magical, such colors ...! Excursions are better through groups in a cart! On a retro car to Gavyna for the whole day with trips to different places, it turns out quite inexpensively!

We are vacationing with my husband in this hotel to this day. I want to stop you from making the mistake of buying a tour to this hotel people!!!! Everything would be fine, we knew exactly where we were going, there were no sky-high expectations, clearly formed ideas on the levels of Cuba. but!!! We have been here for the fifth day, and all five days we eat empty pasta for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!! I want to write in detail the food that this hotel provides for such money. To begin with, it's the same food all day, no change, no variety, just the same thing. Pumpkin , pumpkin fried , steamed , salty , sweet , in syrup . Sliced carrots!!!! Just slices. Boiled , raw , fried . The beans are dark , parched and tasteless. There is one kind of fish for dinner, a small tray for the whole buffet. There is bread only in the morning . Lunch and dinner are not available. Fruits are not ripe white watermelon, not ripe pomelo , not ripe pineapple, very sour some strange fruit with an asterisk and that's it!!! Let 's move on , a bunch of some kind of jam and pasta . To make you understand the picture clearly, the sausage is diced or grated, which can be sprinkled on top of these pasta! There is a separate fried sausage with pineapple , it 's just grumpy ! Corn fried in fatty oil with Sausage . In snack bars, hot dogs, sausage , two slices of sour beetroot and attention, instead of a bun , fried banana slices . Burgers are also served, with fried banana instead of a bun. There is no pizza at all. The pastries are all made of puff pastry . I had beef and pork for dinner a couple of times. There is no chicken, no soups, no turkey, no seafood at all!!! There are no potatoes, the rice is dry and yellow, even the Europeans do not take it, one tray. There are olives, the cheeses are delicious. That's it!!! That's about it. And it's the same thing every day. For the first few days, I thought that Cuba was so different in terms of food. But!!! We went on an excursion , talked with people from neighboring hotels!!! Even those who have cheaper tours, they have normal, delicious food! And meat and bread and seafood, scallops and beef shanks, and ripe fruits, and elementary shrimps. And also, I will add about this hotel . We spent three days trying to get towels!!! There is a severe shortage of towels , a quiet horror . When we told this to tourists from nearby hotels, they were horrified. No one has such a thing! And the pool is shallow and very cold . One small one. For the first time in my 32 years, I left a negative review, I've been a lot of places, I've seen a lot, but it's a quiet horror!!!

They say that the service is cool - yes, the bathroom has been restored, but everything in the room is falling off.
More than 50 percent are Russians, alcohol is poured non-stop, everyone is drunk, sometimes not adequate. The food is the same, even compared to the neighboring hotels.
The hotel staff are stealing things brazenly! If you ask to clarify where your item is, they will call for a second and say no. More than 100 thousand rubles worth of things were stolen from us. I'm attaching a photo of the watch, it was stolen, it's still there. The floor is wet everywhere, my wife fell from the 2nd floor. The fracture, the cast is already in Moscow, and the staff absolutely don't care, they looked and smiled. We moved to another hotel, while we were getting ready, about 3 staff members hurried, looked where I would put my things, fortunately I took almost everything, and what I didn't take was left there and no help! Demand from Russian drinkers and their belongings. I don't recommend it if you don't want to lose your stuff. In any unpleasant situation, they will not help, but only make it worse! Terrible hotel. Only the bartenders do their job and kill you to death. The territory is small. Animation, like food, is the same, or not. In the 5 days that I was there, there was salmon once!
I don't advise it at all, it's terrible, even if you sue for a wet floor and a fracture, theft, plus they wanted to make me look guilty! Fortunately, everything worked out! I'll never go back there! Return the items or money! Read the reviews in other maps, you will understand what kind of place this is! My wife is not the only one who fell and was injured, but there is no help from the hotel, brazenly watching and stealing things.
They moved to another one, even though it's old, but people remained people, and they don't want to rip off every penny from you!

A modest, unremarkable hotel.
The food is not tasty and meager as much as possible.The chicken was saving me.Even fruits, except mangoes, are not tasty.Cocktails are also not delicious, sometimes it's just impossible to drink, how delicious it is.

The hotel is good by Cuban standards. The food is definitely better than in many other hotels-we talked with other tourists. Do not count on abundance - just a little bit and monotonously. But you won't stay hungry. There are no complaints about drinks in the bar-everything is of good quality. The beach and the sea are great! Of the minuses - 1. leaky seams in the shower, water leaks on the floor, complaints do not respond 2. Stealing. Our sunscreen was stolen, and after contacting the customer service, it was returned. On the day of departure, we discovered that the clothes I had arrived in (sweatpants and a T-shirt) had been stolen. There was no time to complain anymore, especially since they didn't know exactly what day it happened. Be vigilant!

Nice and cozy hotel.
The pool bar is open 24 hours a day. But at night it is infested with cockroaches. During the day, they will always make a cocktail in your thermos on the way to the beach.
The lobby bar is a place where they will make very good cocktails. I recommend at the beginning of your arrival to "feed" all the shifts in it with tips - then cocktails will be made quickly and tasty.
There is a night club on the territory, which few people know about (ask at the reception, it's not so easy to specify). There is also a bar with delicious margaritas and a dance floor (unexpectedly, yes).
The hotel is full of Russians and Canadians.
It is a special happiness that the institution is strictly 18+ (i.e. no children).

Отличный отель. из плюсов:
месторасположение, пляж -отлично!!!
большой плюс - русскоговорящий человек, который специально занимается туристами из России))) зовут его - Хесус! очень отзывчивый, добрый, открытый и честный человек! если что то нужно решить ( с номером, в отеле, с экскурсиями или вообще есть вопрос, он всё подскажет)
еще плюс - отель 18+ ( детей нет на территории, не подумайте, что я их не люблю, я мать троих детей, но если вы едете прям отдохнуть - оцените)))
Вечером анимация всегда ( мало что на русском правда) но нам хватило, мы себе раз за чаевые устроили русскую дискотеку))
еда так себе, но не плохая, голодными не были.
кофе не забываемый)
вообщем рекомендую) собиремся снова на Кубу и обязательно в этот отель!
про минусы забыла - флага Российского не было, нас огорчило, но надеюсь к сегодняшнему дню он уже висит, если нет, то с собой привезу) можете вы взять тоже))) и всё, больше минусов нет.
Пы.Сы. : по поводу номера, вы всегда можете поменять категорию ( как сделали мы) мы поменяли стандарт на вид на океан в другом корпусе, туда же в стоимость к номеру прилагается куча всяких бонусов, при наличии свободных номеров вам всегда пойдут на встречу. мы доплатили и весь отпуск жили в лакшери, гораздо дешевле чем через туроператора)

The rooms in the main building overlook the pool. There are concerts in the evenings, so it's very noisy. Closed doors don't save you. It is better to take rooms in separate buildings where it is quieter.
Ala carte restaurants are all with disgusting food. You don't even have to sign up. Cockroaches are running around on the walls.
At lunch, you can eat at the grill restaurant.
And there is a main restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served.
For me, it was delicious only for breakfast. And then there were days when the bread ran out)
The bar was running out of cola, sprite, soda, etc. for several days. There is always a lot of rum.
The pool is small, one, the maximum depth is 1.20 -1.30.
Compared to other hotels, it is not cheap, but at least there were eggs for breakfast.
In general, it is better to go to Southeast Asia.

As the tour operator warned: you will be full. Food is one of the saddest moments in a vacation. On the one hand, it seemed that there was a lot of it, but by and large everything is bland and not very tasty. Initially, I took the fish, after a while it deflated, it was just cooked, not fried. Among the advantages are delicious fruits: incredible mango, papaya for breakfast lunch and dinner, delicious cheeses and cold cuts. Wine for lunch and dinner. The coffee for breakfast is disgusting. Delicious cocktails, especially pina colada with coconut rum, were poured at the bar in front of the beach. When returning home, be sure to take burgers at the pool bar, they will save you from hunger)
The room is for three, old, sad, but we arrived in a great mood and in general it was all the same. The minimum cleaning of the room was regular, but the bed linen was not changed once, given that sand is pouring from all places, which cannot be shaken off the bed. Towels were changed more often, but still not as often as we would like. Towels, by the way, dry perfectly in the room (the air conditioner worked 24/7). They periodically left $ or Alyonka, I don't know if it motivated the employees)
The beach and the ocean are the most important things that people fly so many hours to Cuba for. Here you will be satisfied (and here for the first time I encountered a hot ocean). Tk hotel is 16+, there are no children, everything is quiet and peaceful. And if you go not to the right, where most of the tourists lie, but to the left side of the beach, then you will find a sunbed at any time, plus swim in the ocean alone. For some reason, few people came to that part of the beach, so often there was no one in the immediate radius. In the morning there was aqua aerobics and dancing, but in the scorching sun I did not want to do anything at all.
We visited several Alaskan restaurants, in general, the same wines, the same desserts, dishes made from the same ingredients, but the atmosphere.. I think we need to go! To dress up beautifully, as all foreigners did)
Another recommendation, all cigars/rum/souvenirs can be bought at the airport. They do not cost more there, something is even cheaper, it is not necessary to run around in a hurry and buy everything before departure

I'll start with the main thing: the beach line is narrower than shown in the photo, the sunbeds are dead, it takes time to find a decent one or everything is already occupied! The beach is cleaned disgustingly, cigarette butts, glasses, coconuts, algae are constantly lying around, they can all pile up and wait for a tractor for several days!
From the main entrance to the beach, where there is only a bar, music is constantly screaming, it is impossible to talk normally, you have to move to the end of the beach! The shower is very far away and works disgustingly, you'll get tired of running after the salt water.
About food: everything is there, but it's always the same ... they don't know how to cook, salt and sugar are on request, you queue for scrambled eggs for breakfast, since this is the only compromise)) For lunch, there is an opportunity to eat grilled chicken and pork. From drinks: Coca Cola, sprite, tonic, pineapple and orange juice, some of them disappear for several days)) then there is no cola, then sprite, then cola, juice, tonic ... the sprite just burped in the first 4 days!
I don't know about alcohol, I don't drink, but I have rum))
The rooms are cleaned cleanly, but: the door to the balcony does not close, the toilet too, the water barely flows, the safe can be torn off with one hand and this is not only in our room, friends from Toronto settled with a view of the garbage)) St. Petersburg acquaintances paid for a more expensive room, Superior, with bathrobes, a refillable bar and got like everyone else - the lack of bathrobes and a shortage of drinks 😅 Further on about personal hygiene: linen was changed only after 9 days, towels too, had to be put on the ears of the entire staff… We reached the general director, Almadena, by the way, it turned out that last year she was the director of another hotel where we were vacationing, a pleasant lady gave us a bottle of champagne, drove herself to another hotel in her car and said that if we had immediately said that we were regular customers in the Melia network, it would have been in a different way 🤣
But I will continue about towels, they do not have a laundry, they take them to a neighboring city, there are often interruptions in supplies and... that's why they wash towels in the back rooms in the sinks and dry them on the roof)) if possible, I will upload a video!
To make amends for the shoals, Almadena offered us a free lobster in the restaurant, recorded it herself at 19:00, all with smiles and apologies ... but they messed up here too)) We arrived at the time and waited for the lobster for 1.5 hours ... we didn't wait and spat ... the next day we served the lobster in a shared restaurant 😅But the most unpleasant thing about this is that before that, a translator came up to us and asked us to sign a document, very competently legally drawn up, where it was indicated that we could not have more claims against them and would not sue, the document in English and its text were accurately translated by our friends from Toronto))
About the translator Catalina: an unpleasant Black woman, obsequious, will not be able to help you in any way, only excuses, she is only interested in tips, chocolates, etc. Of the pleasant ones, we only got a room with an ocean view, she grabbed $ 15 and a chocolate bar, and after that she avoided meetings with us, did not even answer the phone to the headmistress herself 😅
In general summary: we don't set foot in this hotel anymore, despite the decent territory and the ocean, the absence of children, you will see ill-mannered Canadians, middle-class Spaniards, men in skirts and with a beard here)) who come to this hotel to drink and yell until 5 am!
Our stay here was smoothed out only by our Cuban friend, the manager and translator from a nearby hotel, meeting good people from Toronto and Nizhny Novgorod!

Были в конце июля отель понравился. Уютная территория, отличный персонал. Лучшие бармены на лобби баре. Еда в ресторанах довольно разнообразная. Всегда есть что то из морепродуктов, разное мясо и фрукты. В бассейне не купались так как пляж и океан просто волшебные.

Отель в целом нормальный, пляж и океан шикарны, к персоналу претензий нет, но проблема с питанием. Впрочем, как говорят туристы, проблема с питанием на всей Кубе. Возможно, это относительно, все по разному привыкли питаться. Лично мы с супругой, отдыхая в данном отеле 2 недели, были всегда голодными. Ибо самая убогая столовка в самом стрёмном бизнес-центре Москвы предлагает существенно больший рацион питания, нежели этот отель.

A solid four.We knew where we were going, so there were no very unpleasant surprises.
By points:
1. I was lucky with the number.Not killed.Only the refrigerator is leaking.The shower is working, there is no mold.The lighting is all working.A new TV, but only Spanish-speaking channels, 5-6 pieces.
One evening I enjoyed having a nap watching a show like guess the tune.
The beds are comfortable.There were no insects (ugh ugh).Number 1246.The view of the road and even this is good because an evening disco with the roar of half-drunk orcs of different nationalities does not contribute to a quick bedtime.
2. Cleaning.It's sadder here.Yes, it's a problem with replacing towels, but this is a topic in many hotels (I'm sitting in the TG Varadero Main chat).
Otherwise, everything is smooth.They come to clean up after 14 o'clock.We left a tip on arrival plus chocolate (Alyonka is a recognizable brand here :)).
3. Service.The staff is friendly, not a single incident.But I'm not a fussy guest, and regular tips do their job.There's nothing you can do, loot defeats any evil.Their average PO is less than 100 bucks.
I confirm that the staff remembers you.If you are positive and don't swing your rights in the style of luxury, then there will be no problems.
They speak English decently.In Russian, it is about the same level as most of our compatriots in British.In general, tu Ti tu tu tu ( in tea in room 222) will understand.
