A good hotel for its level. Check-in usually takes place after 13:00, before that the rooms are cleaned. I don't think I'll be able to get in earlier. The hotel is located on the first coastline, has its own beach and swimming pool. However, do not think that only hotel guests will be on this beach, in China all beaches are municipal, therefore they are open to everyone. We had a vacation in early August, and although the beach was full of people, it was so big that it definitely wouldn't be crowded. The rooms are small but cozy. The hotel is obviously newly renovated, so everything is clean and new. Cleaning is carried out every day, and towels are constantly changed. There are no Russian speakers at the reception, but you can easily use the application to translate into Chinese and back, Lena's guide also works on the ground floor, she will always prompt and help with choosing something or translating it into Chinese. We ordered excursions from her, I recommend it: everything is honest, clear and without overpayments. Meal. In Asia, only breakfast is always included. In my opinion, they are weak here, but this is not Turkey, so you should not count on a huge choice. Wi-Fi is only available on the ground floor and near the hotel. Basically, this hotel evoked pleasant feelings and left good impressions about itself.

We stayed at the hotel from 24.06 to 03.07.25. This was our first time in China. I really liked the hotel. We booked a room in building C without a balcony, and we were moved into Building B with a balcony and sea view. I don't know why it happened, but we were very lucky. The room has bathrobes, slippers, disposable toothbrushes, combs, cotton swabs. Shampoo and gel are bottled. Every day they give one bottle of water per person and two tea bags. I really liked that there are already 7 rooms in the room!!! There are a lot of cabinets, and there were enough hangers for the two of us. Cleaning was daily, towels were changed, the floor was wiped, the beds were made. The staff is friendly. The hotel guides can't really explain anything, they don't know anything. I do not recommend buying excursions from guides, they are not worth the money for which they are sold. We went to Nyashan to look at the tallest statue and the aquarium. Both times there were Russian-speaking guides. Well, for those who understand the difference between Russian guides and Russian speakers, they will understand me, the whole way was just "bleeding from the ears." We went to the park on our own, and the deer turned its head. I really liked the view, the whole of Sanya is in the palm of my hand, in the evening they turn on the lights on Phoenix Island, beauty 🤗it's better to go about 7 p.m. We ate in different places, everything is delicious everywhere, I would especially like to mention the Vostok restaurant and Katyusha cafe. Money was exchanged and almost all souvenirs were bought at the Winter shopping center in David 's tea house 👍About the beach, there are 3 paddocks on the entire beach where you can swim, one just opposite the South China Hotel and two further away. So, in front of the hotel, the paddock was opened only on the 9th day of our stay on vacation. The hotel has its own sun beds and umbrellas, not many, but we always found free ones. The pool is good, it is open from 10 to 13, then from 15 to 22 hours. The only big disadvantage of our vacation was that my husband and I were bitten, just gnawed. I can't tell if it was the sand fleas that everyone is writing about, or the mosquitoes. Although they turned on the fumitox every night (it was also in the room). A wonderful hotel! For connoisseurs of the Asian world, that's it! Pros: location (hotel with great views). Local wealthy Chinese came to spend their weekends there all the time. The rooms, again, are just wonderful for Asia, new buildings, everything is clean, well-groomed, daily cleaning. Taxis and shopping malls are within walking distance. Yes, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the country and not expect Italian cheeses and a huge amount of Turkish sweets at breakfast. This is China . The reception service responded to any requests immediately . The rooms are spacious, and cleaning is done every day. Bathrobes, slippers, beach bags, everything you need is there. I stayed at the hotel in October 2025. The hotel is located on the first coastline. There is a swimming pool. There are very few sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. Everyone is missing. People lie by the water under the aggressive sun. The rooms are not small, but cozy. Towels are changed every day, cleaned every day too. A great hotel for relaxation. I lived in building C. The rooms are newly renovated, there are elevators, a delicious breakfast, a large swimming pool and access directly to the beach. I always managed to find a chaise longue by the pool, a place at the breakfast table. The staff is very friendly. There is a city park nearby, we were lucky because during our stay at the hotel, a beer festival was held in the park) The beach is a real Anapa) There are a lot of people, we preferred to take a taxi to Xiaodonghai Bay, where the Intercontinental Hotel is, there is a buzz - quiet, peaceful and much fewer people. The sun beds from the hotel were occupied all the time, but they are far from the water and it was not relevant to us. I am generally happy with the hotel, but I would choose the Dadonghai Hotel on my next trip.

There are 2 pools with fish that massage the soles of the feet. Very interesting feeling 😁 the territory is equipped with sun beds, there is a shower, toilets. And a kind of mini-gym without air conditioning in the open air. I'm an amateur, but I didn't go there - it's very hot. The large building of the hotel has washing machines on some floors. It's free. There are none in the 4-storey building. You buy the powder or capsules yourself. There is a Pineapple shopping center next to the hotel, where absolutely everything that tourists need is sold. At the usual prices for Russians. We tried to go to the center of the island to look for merchants, after listening to the guide, who said that everything is more expensive in the tourist area, go there, then there. It turned out that the guides of the island do not really know except the places where they take on an excursion. Believe me, there is no point in looking for cheaper products. It turns out that the further you go into the island, the less interesting there is, the less choice, and the prices are higher. Mostly they sell only sportswear, swimsuits and crocs. That's it. I assure you, you will find everything you need in the Pineapple. And you will eat, and you will collect gifts. Relatively inexpensive. Contrary to stereotypes, the Chinese have tried to ensure that tourists are provided with everything in the tourist area in Dadonghai Bay. There is a Winter-summer shopping center next to the hotel across the square, where they sell branded clothes, jewelry, and luxury bed linen. There is a supermarket on the top floor, where there are products familiar to Russians. There is even Altai flour, juices of Russian production. In general, we liked the hotel. It's a pity you can't swim. As it was, there were no problems with the room. The only thing is that the refrigerator didn't work, but it was fixed immediately. We vacationed in November 2024, rented 2 rooms, one in building A on the 8th floor, a two-room family room with stunning sea views, but without a balcony (balconies are only in building B). Near the Pineapple shopping center, a park and a promenade with lots of cafes and bars for every taste and color! Moreover, the hotel itself is quiet (we were vacationing with small children, it was important to us). There is a playground on site in the shade of palm trees and overlooking the sea, but for some reason the children did not appreciate it (I do not know what they did not like, as for me it is a wonderful playground). The children's pool was not working. The rooms were cleaned every day, but only symbolically. Towels were changed every day. Shower accessories were also reported, with the exception of children's (I don't know, maybe they forgot) We had our own, so it's normal for us. I didn't like the food in the restaurant - it's a small selection and not tasty. Especially children have nothing to choose at all. The daughter ate only an omelet (if you can call it an omelet), the son only a watermelon, because they absolutely did not like everything else. There are often not enough plates and you have to wait, there is ALWAYS a queue for coffee. The receptionist who greets you in the restaurant is extremely unfriendly, and she does not hesitate to demonstrate her irritation with the guests. Although she seems to be there seven days a week, from morning to evening - maybe she's just tired. The kids really piss her off🙈 No one speaks English there, and Russian is all the more important because communication is only through an interpreter. Of the insects, I only met a huge spider on the balcony on the last night right before leaving the hotel. There were no biting insects. A solid three-star hotel, and you can find a better one for that money. In principle, we are happy with the rest, but another time we will find another hotel option. And we will definitely return to Dodonghai itself.

The tourists were from three hotels that are very close- South China, Dadonghai and Harman. We were at the hotel at 9.20. We still had time for breakfast. You have to adapt to food. They make everything bland, add the sauces themselves. There is no salt there. There are no teaspoons to stir the sugar. There is a choice of food. Boiled vegetables, vegetables with meat, rice, noodles, several egg options, sausages, soups and porridges are mandatory. Pastries, pies, some fried tubes with stuffing, steamed pies. Coffee from the coffee machine (it takes a very long time to pour, there are always queues). Room 3426 was checked in immediately. An early check-in was purchased in advance. Excellent room on the top floor of building B, overlooking the garden and the sea. The bathroom has no transparent wall, which was complained about in other hotels. The beds were moved together, and there was a sleeping place for three adults. And with a margin. If you find fault, there are dark-colored circassians on the walls, there was clearly a bed there. It didn't matter to us. And the size of the room was good, and everything worked, there was nothing to cling to. There are clothes dryers and a table with chairs on the balcony. In the bathroom, there were toothbrushes with toothpaste and combs in a box. The shower didn't leak or leak anywhere. The hotel guide has never refused to help, absolutely anyone. And they didn't really insist on buying excursions. Our guide Peter works for two hotels - South China and Dadonghai. There were always not enough sun beds on the beach, too few. Our tourists also like to come at night, tie a scarf or put a towel on the sun beds, and come in the morning only at 12-13 o'clock. The sea was cool. It's difficult to enter right away. But you get used to it. On the day of departure, it warmed up well, I went in right away. There was no sun at all for several days. But we were sunbathing. There is a separate paddock on the beach for the naked Chinese. They treat eczema like that. A policeman came the last few days and forced them to pull on their underpants🤣 Apparently someone complained. Everything is fine with the food in the DDH. You can eat at the food court or in small restaurants. There are many places you can get to by public transport. This bay is the cheapest of all. And yes, there are inscriptions in Russian everywhere, even the signs on the road. The Chinese turned out to be completely different here than they had previously encountered around the world. They are very welcoming (not all of them, of course), but most of them. Especially those who came there to work from Harbin. They have good Russian, they have studied it since school. There is a park near the hotel. There's exercise in the morning, and a lot of dancing groups in the evening. Choreographers are working, you can join anyone. Even the movements will be set. If you walk through the park, there are two shopping malls Winter and Summer behind it. We went there for shopping, excursions and souvenirs. They also sell fruits nearby. We were picked up back from the hotel 10 hours before departure. At 6 p.m. We paid for the last night in vain. We met a family there. They flew with us and stayed in the same hotel. They vacated the room at 12 p.m. and took the same flight. However, their tour was shorter. We were at the airport at 11 p.m., 2 hours before check-in. They just stood at the counters. Only one of our flights took off at night. They take it out very early. It is better to take a separate transfer. Otherwise it is very tedious. We went on excursions from street agencies: Li and Miao Village, Red Women's Squad show, Nanshan, Romantic Park. I liked everything. The Deer turned its head to the park on its own (there is a 55 bus to the terminal, boarding on the opposite side from the Pineapple).

We really liked the location, the attitude of the staff, the food, the room, and overall everything is great. DON't be afraid to take case C. It has just been renovated, the elevator is now there, everything is clean, there is no smell. Yes, a view of the backyard of the Pineapple shopping center, but are we really going to sit in a room? It doesn't make any difference to us, we left in the morning and came to sleep in the room in the evening. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning. Then the sea, then a massage in Phoenix, then walks and lunch at the famous Panda. The pool was cleaned well, there are no complaints. About the massage. We found our massage therapist Dima. Of all the people we came across, he is the only one who really knows the techniques of traditional Chinese massage. I read reviews that you need to go outside, that it's cheaper and better there. Don't believe it!!! The price in terms of quality is about the same. This time we were not too lazy, we went around several centers on the street, unsanitary conditions and low level of services. Like that. The Chinese are on the move all day, and you want to move with them too. All the good reviews about the hotel are true, the bad can be found in everything. We will be happy to return to this hotel again.
