It's a wonderful place! We stayed here for three days, looked at everything we could. Entrances to all temples are free, and guided tours are free. Accommodation for the first three days is free, meals in the refectory too. Stunningly beautiful territory! A lot of shrines, amazing frescoes of the XII century. People often come here specifically to work. If you do, keep in mind the following. We were accommodated in a building outside the monastery in a large 20-bed room. Linen is provided, and take towels with you. The toilet and shower are at the end of the hallway. There is a hygienic shower in the toilet cubicles, and there is paper too. To wash completely, there is one tray with a faucet at waist level between the sinks and the stalls, all this is not covered with a curtain. Uncomfortable, but bearable))

We visited this monastery in April 2025. Before reaching the monastery, 200 meters away, there is a large parking lot, there are always places. The monastery itself is not very big, but it is cozy. The main attraction is the Church of the Holy Transfiguration. The building dates back to the 1150s, during the lifetime of Euphrosyne of Polotsk herself. The most valuable thing is the preserved frescoes of these years. Because of this, candles cannot be placed in the temple and only 15 people are allowed inside. But these murals are worth it. They have a very unusual school of writing and look amazing. They are the only ones worth visiting this monastery for. The place itself is salted and it is very pleasant and peaceful there.

The monastery where the relics of the heavenly patroness of Belarus, St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, rest. Saint Euphrosyne is considered the patroness of female monasticism. It's worth a visit. A place of grace. We were there as travelers. The friendly sisters and Abbess Evdokia. Thank them for the warm welcome. The monastery has one of the oldest Temples in Russia. Built in the 12th century. The frescoes are well preserved.

Being in Polotsk, you definitely need to visit it, a place of power. My soul is cozy, warm and calm. The relics of Euphrosyne of Polotsk are kept in the temple, and seeing and touching them is also part of spiritual purification. A beautiful and ancient temple.

I really like the peace of mind and the mothers are kind and helpful. The Transfiguration Church after restoration is beautiful, the lights are not turned on for visitors, Mother explained that people would plunge into the atmosphere of the 12th century, when the monk lived. For the tour, the lights in the temple include

A very strong and pleasant place. Wonderful guides. I recommend ordering it directly. Parking in front of the entrance and a cafe, but the cafe did not enter. The monastery is magnificent both as a landmark and as a religious site! One of the oldest temples is due to be renovated soon, and it's going to be great!

It's a wonderful place! Wonderful singing in the cathedral! Once here, you realize that you have to rejoice and thank God! Not all people who visit the monastery know what is where, and it is very pleasant that when you ask for help, they respond with joy, a smile and a desire to help. Sisters, thank you so much for the reception!

An ancient monastery...the Orthodox spirit....the faith of our ancestors. A place of prayer, spiritual power, and an inexhaustible source of grace are the holy relics of St. Euphrosyne. Thank God that we have such intercessors before God.

Be sure to come to this monastery. It is extremely cozy and bright here. This monastery was founded by the Holy Princess Euphrosyne of Polotsk in 1125. It is here that the oldest temple in Polotsk is located - the Transfiguration Church, built in the middle of the XII century. (The church is currently under restoration, but in 2025 it will be available to believers). The relics of Saint Euphrosyne are kept in the main cathedral and believers have the opportunity to venerate and pray to them. If you travel to Polotsk, then take the time to visit this monastery with a very interesting and difficult history. If you do not visit here, then consider that you have not felt the spirit of ancient Polotsk.

We were in Polotsk and our Belarusian friends told us about the monastery. I purposefully went to visit. My expectations were fulfilled. Great! Due to lack of time, I visited only one temple, where the relics of Euphrosyne are located. What grace and beauty there is in the temple. I really got into that atmosphere. I'm writing now, with a smile on my face and a wave of warmth in my soul...

It is interesting historically-these are the original frescoes of the 12th century in the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood (entrance is scheduled on the site for 10 people, you can not get in during rush hour). The Holy relics and chains in St. Euphrosyne's Church are impressive, and the main Church of the Exaltation of the Cross with a silver shrine of the relics of Euphrosyne and a cross (replica). There is a well-kept territory around, the graves of nuns, a beautiful icon on the bell tower of the monastery at the entrance.

We were with the children in 2019. Appearance requirements - women are covered, men - no shorts), only pants. All this is given (for free) at the entrance A lot has been written about the frescoes of the Transfiguration Cathedral. Who am I? to evaluate them professionally, but as a human being, I will say that I was DELIGHTED. I have seen such cute "decorations" (without sarcasm and irony, they are just very pure in a childish way) in the churches of the Moscow Kremlin and St. Basil the Blessed The main thing that struck me about these open frescoes was that Maria's FACE was NOT revealed. I don't know if it's lost forever. But Gsp, how symbolic it is! That's the sign. It is not easy and a lot of effort has been made by D.B. to be honored to see Her face. Perhaps he is seen by bright people. I hope and believe that the thread will be restored someday.

A unique place, everything lives and breathes history here. Incredible frescoes from the twelfth century, carefully and meticulously restored, you will not see this anywhere else here. Nuns with bright faces, parishioners, tourists who are timid from all this unusual appearance. It's our Orthodox true place, something switches in your head, creates a deep, new something in you. Visit here, feel it

A beautiful monastery. Very emotionally soothing. All the churches were open during the visit. They managed to venerate the relics of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the cross of Euphrosyne, pass through the manhole under the lanterns, and see the frescoes restored in the 12th century. It is interesting for both believers and just travelers.

A very pleasant place in all respects. Beautiful landscape design. Quiet, prayer-inspiring temples. Icons of ancient writing. The nuns are very accommodating, ready to help, explain. They read the never-ending psalter. There is a grocery store of the monastery compound and other goods. Fish shop. Clothing store. Kvass is very tasty. The parking lot is large for cars.

A spiritual place, a cathedral, frescoes-The Spirit is stirring! But the cafe (which is located 100 m from the entrance to the Monastery), not that it can spoil the impression of visiting this holy place, but the Novice cashier Tatiana, with her boorish attitude towards visitors, is trying, she certainly fails, to turn my thoughts not into a holy path! What a terrible woman! She's evil, she doesn't attack a sincere believer, she's cynically rude to my children! We visited a cafe and a monastery in June, 16, 2025

The energy of this place is strong! Take cash with you. I forgot. There was only money on the card. I was lucky: they treated me to delicious tea in the church store, and in the monastery a nun picked up a cross and took the initiative to tell me how it worked. How to pray, how to ask for relics and thank God for everything. I came out of there excited

The most famous monastery in Belarus. A historical place. In the Holy Cross Cathedral (1893-97) - a shrine with the relics of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk. The monastery itself was founded by the saint in 1127. There is a big reconstruction in the monastery. The Transfiguration Church is closed even externally, but the frescoes (the first two layers before the 12th century) can be seen in the Polotsk Art Museum.

It's a great place, I've wanted to visit it for a long time. One of the best places in the country. I really liked it. There is the only monument here where the fresco painting has been almost completely preserved by 90%. Be sure to visit, I advise you to come to the service as well. In honor of this event, I bought a book dedicated to the temple and frescoes.

It's such a sacred place that I think I was flying from there to the car. A good shop the only problem is the lack of a terminal. Cash only. On January 6, my daughter and I visited this place and I must say that there are a lot of different relics there. I recommend you to visit. You can collect holy water. There is a monastery tea shop in front of the monasteries. Very tasty and healthy.

One of the oldest monasteries in Russia. It was founded in the first half of the 12th century by St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk. A great Orthodox Shrine. The monastery has preserved the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord built by the Monk. Inside this church you can see frescoes of the 12th century - the most fully preserved ensemble of ancient Russian monumental painting of this time in the world.

It is necessary to visit here at least once. The Center of Orthodoxy in Belarus. Everything is connected with Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the saint of the whole Russian land. The artifacts are miraculous, the history and architecture will not leave anyone indifferent. Here you will surely find what you are looking for, both your own and believers. And tourists. Well, this is the place where one of the oldest (if not the oldest) buildings in the country has been preserved - 1150 about the year of construction. This is a place where you can buy tooth-crushing crackers or tea drinks at a very low price. This is a place where you will probably have to change from summer clothes to more closed types. This is a place where there is no time. This is a place where people believe and believe, and live by Faith and service. It may be expensive here, it may not be very bright, but it is quiet and peaceful. Here the relics of Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk await requests and prayers. Here, in the ancient temple, restorers remove layer after layer of wall paintings, which are then transported and stored in the local art museum.

It's good that there are such places in our country. We thank those people who contribute to the restoration of churches. The oldest monument of Orthodox architecture in White Russia.
