Yes, this is the Speedy's, the cafe next to the house of Sherlock and Watson! -)) From the BBC series (Sherlock), of course. Nearby is the entrance to the "same house" where the characters of the series lived. However, the number "221B" has now been removed from there and a sign has been put up that an Italian patriot lived here. The cafe itself is very intimate, with literally six tables, plus two tables on the street. The menu is very modest and small (previously, as you can see online, it was much larger). There are film clips on the walls, and the cafe owner is with the actors. The owner was also at Speedy's, but he was busy, gloomy, and didn't want to interrupt him. I must say that there are people here all the time. Yes, I can sit down, but people come and go all the time. Judging by the opening hours (and Speedy's is open from 6:30 to 15:30 from Monday to Friday and from 7:30 to 12:30 on Saturday), the cafe is still open to locals, not tourists. On the other hand, there are certainly fewer tourists now - and there are a lot of TV shows, and Sherlock is remembered less often... Speedy's has excellent service. The waiter told me how he was present during the filming (since he has been working here all his life) and was generally very friendly and cheerful. The food here is no frills, everything is very simple, but very tasty. Bacon is actually something amazing. English tea is brewed in a large cup with already poured milk -)) But, on the other hand, people come here not for gastronomic wonders, but to see where one of the best TV series created by man was filmed (sorry for the pathos). You can get here by metro; the nearest station is Euston Square. As for the prices, it's really quite cheap here. Why you can love Speedy's doubly -) A delicious cafe, an interesting place from the point of view of a cinephile, and very, very pleasant prices.
