A unique temple, never turned into a mosque. The gates are always closed, but I decided to try my luck, according to reviews, if you ring the doorbell, they will open.
I was lucky, a man was just coming out of the door, I explained the situation that I really wanted to get inside. He let me in without any problems and told me, conducted a mini-excursion.
If you are interested in history, be sure to visit, the place is beautiful.
Inside the icon of the 13th century, one even has Komnenos carved on it.

The only church of Byzantine times in Istanbul that was not desecrated by the Turks. Call the intercom - not the first time, most likely, but they will answer (the language of communication is English). Say that you are from Russia and really want to get into the Church. You will be escorted inside in a minute. A surprisingly bright place.

Церковь закрыта для посещения. Некоторые говорят, что надо стучаться в закрытую дверь и тогда может быть можно будет попасть во внутрь. Не проверяли. Район очень интересный.
