Located in the Ancient City of Perge, the hippodrome is a fascinating structure that reflects the splendor and splendor of the Roman period. This hippodrome, which is thought to have a capacity of about 12,000 people, has hosted many events ranging from gladiator fights to horse carriage races in the past. With its length and magnificent design, it has an atmosphere that challenges the imagination of its visitors. Although it has been destroyed, the ruins that can be seen today reveal the engineering wonders of that period and the public's sense of entertainment. The section called “spina” located in the middle of the racecourse and the layout of the seating areas prove that this is not only a racing area, but also a social meeting point. While visiting this place, when you touch the stones, you can feel the chants and the excitement of the race echoing throughout history. Visiting this place, especially in the early morning or towards sunset, allows you to experience the atmosphere of antiquity in a stronger way. My advice: Taking a guided tour during your visit or visiting with sources that provide information about the history of the racecourse can help you better understand the details here. If you are interested in photography, the viewpoints of the racecourse and daylight games can allow you to capture unique frames. For those who are interested in history and archaeology, the Perge Hippodrome offers an unforgettable experience! #perge #pergestadium

It's very interesting, but it's very hot, and there's nowhere to buy water. Admission for tourists is more expensive than it was indicated on the website. But we still recommend the trip.

The roads are nice when you go with your personal car. The place is a wonderful visual feast. I like it better that it can still be used now. There is a $100 entrance fee for teachers with a free museum card.
