Just wow! We got a ticket for a ballet show a month in advance, and on the day of the event we found it got canceled... The administrator got involved and Medina and her amazing team got us tickets to the next ballet show, which was the National Ballet of Uzbekistan performing Lazgi. Mom and I were accommodated the best seats on the main floor.
And it turned out this was a milestone in my life. I have never seen such representation of cultural values. Everything was like watching the flow of water. The harmony between these dancers, the physical proximity made me shed a few drops for real, between the performers the words were not needed to communicate emotions. I now have a unique appreciation of ballet and performing arts.
Do not skip Alisher Navoiy if you're in Taskent, even in Uzbekistan. It's worth every second :)

GABT named after A. Navoi is the center of cultural life in Tashkent.
The repertoire of the theater includes mainly classical productions of world classics. Guest concerts, tours of foreign performances, and theater festivals are also held here.
The theater building is an architectural monument of the mid-20th century. Its courtyard depicts the wonderful world of national folklore art. The author of the design of the building was academician Alexei Shusev, who also built the mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow. The construction of the theater began in 1939. In 1942, it was suspended due to wartime difficulties, but construction continued in 1944. In November 1945, Japanese prisoners of war from the Kwantung Army were transferred to Tashkent. They were finishing the construction of the structure.
The auditorium of the GABT named after A.Navoi accommodates seats:
Stalls: 1- 10 rows — 258 seats;
Amphitheater: rows 1-11 — 222 seats;
Boxes: right and left with 15 seats each;
Balcony : 1st tier — 96 seats; 2nd tier — 84 seats.
The ticket office is open on weekdays from 11:00 to 19:00, on weekends from 10:00 to 18:00.

A beautiful building with a rich history. The halls and comfortable chairs have been restored. The repertoire is quite rich, the prices are reasonable. Concerts in front of the theater on the steps are also very impressive.
I would advise you to return the dress code and not let foreigners in the gym in shorts, hats and with food, just because they are foreigners.

It's a pity that the programs are only in Uzbek, that a very expensive buffet is more expensive than tickets to the stalls!!! And some of the audience should still be taken out of the hall - they talk in full voice during the performance

We attended the opening of the 95th season of the OPEN AIR theater, we really liked it, not only our but also foreign artists performed, an unforgettable evening. The sound is amazing, but the images on the big screens were not clear, they could not convey the beauty of the outfits and the faces of the soloists, apparently they did not have time to adjust.

I really liked the theater. I've seen it outside a lot of times, I like its architecture. I visited the premiere of the opera "Eugene Onegin" for the first time inside - he is so beautiful inside! I didn't even expect such chic! I liked the opera too. Onegin reread it several times, now I've listened to the opera, it's a very good production.

We watched the ballet "Giselle", we liked it. Because I've watched this ballet more than once, I can compare it. The production is quite on the level, we enjoyed watching it. We watched the opera Bohemia. The overall impression is good, but the acoustics from the stage are poor, the voice is very muffled.
As for the staff of the theater and the organization, it's just a circus: 1) at the entrance they asked to show the wallet 🫡 2) there is gilding on the walls, but there is no SOAP!!! in the toilets - a classic of state institutions of Uzbekistan (it should be a shame) 3) during the intermission, you barely have time to run to drink water in the buffet 4) after the performance, the lights turn off in the hall after 5 minutes, it is impossible to take a photo or make a promise, in all other rooms they do the same, immediately after the performance, the staff turn off the lights everywhere and look forward to when you take your jacket and leave as soon as possible (it has passed only 10 minutes from the end of the performance and the time is 20:10, Sunday).... All the chic of a cultural institution is broken down by lack of culture and the advice of the staff 😖

Every time I come to Tashkent, I try to get to this theater - an amazing place! Firstly, the building itself is beautiful: it is the academic theater that is unmistakably recognizable in it, while oriental notes give a special flavor. The interiors deserve special attention, it's nice to go around all the floors and corners and enjoy the cozy and at the same time luxurious oriental aesthetics. The productions are always classic, coming to Puccini or Verdi you don't risk getting into some kind of avant-garde experiment, which is an obvious plus for me personally! Pleasant cafe, helpful staff. The repertoire, orchestra and troupe are also highly commendable.

Добрый день.
За последние дни посетил два балета: Лебединое озеро и 1000 и одна ночь.
Первое что мне нравится сам театр. Красивый. Просторный. Есть 6 красивых залов на трёх этажах, где выполнена отделка в мраморе в традиционном стиле областей Республики.
Сам зрительный зал красивый, комфортный.
Я смотрел и с 1 яруса, и из амфитеатра. Везде видно хорошо сцену. Сидения мягкие. Зал красивый, отделан золотом.
Оркестровая яма расположена хорошо, звук оркестра красивый: когда сидишь наверху можно и понаблюдать за игрой музыкантов.
Но самое главное это конечно сам балет.
На роли солистов были приглашены очень хорошие артисты. Но игра артистов нашего театра тоже впечатляет. Всех не смогу перечислить и не хочу обидеть тех кого не назову, но они: Ольга Сабирова, Суннат Темиров, Анастасия Кистанова, Валерия Борси, Данияр Хасманов и все все все.
Впечатлили декорации и свет.
Отдельно отметил шикарные костюмы.
Персонал театра профессиональный и отзывчивый.
Я обязательно буду приходить сюда ещё и ещё.
Пять с плюсом.

Театр имени Алишера Навойи - это историческое здание города Ташкента, и интересно само по себе.
Мы посетили концерт балетной труппы театра. Концерт состоял из популярных номеров из разных балетов, так что у нас была возможность увидеть разных артистов, танцующих и классику, и современные танцы.
Очень приятно видеть♥️, что в Узбекистане культура развивается, что в коллективе есть и прекрасные опытные танцоры, и новое поколение
Нам на концерте не хватило программок, поэтому не запомнились номера и артисты, что очень печально.
И еще пожелание - чтобы в мае в театре был полноценный репертуар. В мае в Ташкенте много туристов, и мы уверены, что среди них нашлись бы ценители оперы и балета.
И, конечно же, аншлагов и процветания!

Театр в центре столицы. Красивая театральная площадь с фонтаном. Сбоку от театра, по улице Бухара можно припарковаться. Самый красивый театр столицы. Подсвечивается вечером. Огромный зал, очень хороший звук. Буфет с шампанским. Всё, чтобы вкусить театральные прелести. Опера, балет, если еще и зарубежное исполнение, полное наслаждение. Местной труппе есть к чему стремиться, работая в такой красоте, наверняка приходит особое вдохновение.

Шикарный театр. Прекрасная архитектура, акустика, зал. Удобные кресла, сцена, очень понравилась труппа театра. Отлично выступают. Очень понравилось опера Алеко, романсы на музыку Рахманинова, шикарнейший балет Хумо ! Рекомендую обязательно ! Самое главное-я посетил два раза этот театр бесплатно - посвящено это было празднику Навруз ! Это оказывается у них добрая традиция !
