Just wow! We got a ticket for a ballet show a month in advance, and on the day of the event we found it got canceled... The administrator got involved and Medina and her amazing team got us tickets to the next ballet show, which was the National Ballet of Uzbekistan performing Lazgi. Mom and I were accommodated the best seats on the main floor.
And it turned out this was a milestone in my life. I have never seen such representation of cultural values. Everything was like watching the flow of water. The harmony between these dancers, the physical proximity made me shed a few drops for real, between the performers the words were not needed to communicate emotions. I now have a unique appreciation of ballet and performing arts.
Do not skip Alisher Navoiy if you're in Taskent, even in Uzbekistan. It's worth every second :)
Greetings from Istanbul! 🇹🇷 🇺🇿

A beautiful building with a rich history. The halls and comfortable chairs have been restored. The repertoire is quite rich, the prices are reasonable. Concerts in front of the theater on the steps are also very impressive.
I would advise you to return the dress code and not let foreigners in the gym in shorts, hats and with food, just because they are foreigners.

We attended the opening of the 95th season of the OPEN AIR theater, we really liked it, not only our but also foreign artists performed, an unforgettable evening. The sound is amazing, but the images on the big screens were not clear, they could not convey the beauty of the outfits and the faces of the soloists, apparently they did not have time to adjust.

Begun to be built in the pre-war years of World War II and completed in difficult war times, the theater is a unique architectural structure of those times, now it is the Mecca of Central Asian culture. I recommend all tourists and guests of the capital to visit this fabulous opera and ballet palace in the winter months, which will plunge you into the magical world of ballet with its first-class symphony orchestra. If you are lucky enough to get to the ballet, Swan Lake, or The Nutcracker, you will be at the peak of the bliss of culture, which will be facilitated by the virtuoso performers of the symphony orchestra, the genius of Tchaikovsky's works, the aquistic quality of the theater, the skill of ballet performers and the solemn aura surrounding you. For residents of the capital who appreciate high art, this theater is their pride and, love for life,
The theater staff are polite, sensitive, responsive and professionals in their field.

I really liked the theater. I've seen it outside a lot of times, I like its architecture. I visited the premiere of the opera "Eugene Onegin" for the first time inside - he is so beautiful inside! I didn't even expect such chic! I liked the opera too. Onegin reread it several times, now I've listened to the opera, it's a very good production.

A beautiful building, externally in the national style, inside it is beautiful and comfortable.
We watched the ballet "Giselle", we liked it. Because I've watched this ballet more than once, I can compare it. The production is quite on the level, we enjoyed watching it. Not the Bolshoi Theatre or the Mariinsky, but very worthy. I especially liked the dancer, the main character. Thank you very much to all the artists and the director.

GABT named after A. Navoi is the center of cultural life in Tashkent.
The repertoire of the theater includes mainly classical productions of world classics. Guest concerts, tours of foreign performances, and theater festivals are also held here.
The theater building is an architectural monument of the mid-20th century. Its courtyard depicts the wonderful world of national folklore art. The author of the design of the building was academician Alexei Shusev, who also built the mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow. The construction of the theater began in 1939. In 1942, it was suspended due to wartime difficulties, but construction continued in 1944. In November 1945, Japanese prisoners of war from the Kwantung Army were transferred to Tashkent. They were finishing the construction of the structure.
The auditorium of the GABT named after A.Navoi accommodates seats:
Stalls: 1- 10 rows — 258 seats;
Amphitheater: rows 1-11 — 222 seats;
Boxes: right and left with 15 seats each;
Balcony : 1st tier — 96 seats; 2nd tier — 84 seats.
The ticket office is open on weekdays from 11:00 to 19:00, on weekends from 10:00 to 18:00.

Excellent! Sincere and high-quality performance (if you can combine these two qualities)! I was at the Tosca opera with the participation of Russian and Uzbek singers and actors. The action lasts about 3 hours. It becomes clear even to the very uninitiated. Thanks to all the wonderful participants and employees of the theater, to everyone who is involved in this magic!!!

A brilliant theater - the hall has been wonderfully restored, and there are always wonderful voices. The premiere of the opera The Poet's Heart is a real event! It's a pity that the programs are only in Uzbek, that a very expensive buffet is more expensive than tickets to the stalls!!! And some of the audience should still be taken out of the hall - they talk in full voice during the performance

This is, of course, the mecca of Tashkent intellectuals, ballet lovers and good costumed performances. Everything from the scenery, costumes to the acting is done at the highest level. However, the current management of the theater does not care at all about the condition of the san nodes, as well as a big bias towards the opera component, ballet art is the theater's specialty!

We watched the opera Bohemia. The overall impression is good, but the acoustics from the stage are poor, the voice is very muffled.
As for the staff of the theater and the organization, it's just a circus: 1) at the entrance they asked to show the wallet 🫡 2) there is gilding on the walls, but there is no SOAP!!! in the toilets - a classic of state institutions of Uzbekistan (it should be a shame) 3) during the intermission, you barely have time to run to drink water in the buffet 4) after the performance, the lights turn off in the hall after 5 minutes, it is impossible to take a photo or make a promise, in all other rooms they do the same, immediately after the performance, the staff turn off the lights everywhere and look forward to when you take your jacket and leave as soon as possible (it has passed only 10 minutes from the end of the performance and the time is 20:10, Sunday).... All the chic of a cultural institution is broken down by lack of culture and the advice of the staff 😖

Every time I come to Tashkent, I try to get to this theater - an amazing place! Firstly, the building itself is beautiful: it is the academic theater that is unmistakably recognizable in it, while oriental notes give a special flavor. The interiors deserve special attention, it's nice to go around all the floors and corners and enjoy the cozy and at the same time luxurious oriental aesthetics. The productions are always classic, coming to Puccini or Verdi you don't risk getting into some kind of avant-garde experiment, which is an obvious plus for me personally! Pleasant cafe, helpful staff. The repertoire, orchestra and troupe are also highly commendable.

Good afternoon.
In recent days, I have visited two ballets: Swan Lake and 1000 and one night.
The first thing I like is the theater itself. Beautiful. Spacious. There are 6 beautiful halls on three floors, which are decorated in marble in the traditional style of the regions of the Republic.
The auditorium itself is beautiful and comfortable.
I watched both from the 1st tier and from the amphitheater. The scene is clearly visible everywhere. The seats are soft. The hall is beautiful, decorated with gold.
The orchestra pit is well located, the sound of the orchestra is beautiful: when you sit at the top, you can also watch the musicians playing.
But the most important thing is, of course, the ballet itself.
Very good artists were invited to play the roles of soloists. But the performance of the artists of our theater is also impressive. I can't list all of them and I don't want to offend those I won't name, but they are: Olga Sabirova, Sunnat Temirov, Anastasia Kistanova, Valeria Borsi, Daniyar Hasmanov and all of them.
I was impressed by the scenery and the light.
I also noted the chic costumes.
The staff of the theater is professional and responsive.
I will definitely come here again and again.
Five plus.

The Alisher Navoi Theater is a historical building in Tashkent, and it is interesting in itself.
We attended a concert of the ballet troupe of the theater. The concert consisted of popular numbers from different ballets, so we had the opportunity to see different artists dancing both classical and modern dances.
It is very nice to see that culture is developing in Uzbekistan, that there are excellent experienced dancers and a new generation in the team
We didn't have enough programs at the concert, so we didn't remember the numbers and the artists, which is very sad.
And another wish is that the theater has a full repertoire in May. There are a lot of tourists in Tashkent in May, and we are sure that there would be opera and ballet connoisseurs among them.
And, of course, full houses and prosperity!

"Are you theater lovers, as I love it?" Yesterday we went to "Aleko". The architecture of the theater is as wonderful as it was many years ago, there are no complaints about the staff and artists. The theater is beautiful both outside and inside. That's it! The acoustics are very bad, they sang to the soundtrack. But most of all, I was unpleasantly surprised by the audience . They shout, whistle, many sit and do not applaud. It is a pity that our people are not ready to perceive opera and ballet as the supreme force of art.

On the 15th, they came to Onegin, the parking lot was closed, the guardsman at the gate was rude and did not allow parking, referring to the director of the theater, what kind of attitude is this to the client? Tickets were bought for the second row for decent money! There are no parking areas around the theater, and there are no prohibition signs everywhere! Everything is fine: acting, costumes, special effects, scenery… But all this is overshadowed by the fact that the actors completely speak and sing under plywood from beginning to end🙄🤦♀️ Why is this and why? A very beautiful theater, a good orchestra. But: no one met us at the entrance, and then they shouted at us about tickets across the hall. The staff is not watching the audience - people are shooting with a flash.
And the most important problem is the quality of the ballet performance. The dancers of the corps de ballet do not build straight lines, do not line up the dance pattern symmetrically and do not dance synchronously. Among the soloists there are artists falling from pirouettes. I would like to see the best performance quality from the main theater of the country
