I definitely recommend this place to visit. The gallery staff warmly welcomed us, even gave us a guided tour, which made the paintings more interesting to look at. We learned a lot of facts about Belarusian artists. There are several exhibitions - permanent (Vaschenko) and temporary (we were at myths based on fairy tales).

I will remember the art gallery of G. Vashchenko in Gomel thanks to the curator Oleg Gennadievich and interesting exhibitions. The most important exhibition is dedicated to Gavriil Vashchenko. ✏️Interesting and important about the artist: - Gavriil Vashchenko is a national artist of the Republic of Belarus. - It was he who introduced the image of the stork as a symbol of Belarus. - He created stained glass windows for the red church in Minsk. Originally it was a cinema House, and the artist created stained glass windows for it. But later the building was transferred to the church and the stained glass windows had to be changed. Interestingly, literally several stained glass windows were replaced, which had a movie theme, and the rest also fit the religious context. This became possible because the artist created universal cultural things. -One of his monumental works is located in the Lyceum of BSU -"The Enlighteners" It depicts a teacher and a student in the center, and on the sides are pages of the history of Belarus. They are represented by educators from different eras. A very serious job in terms of meaning. I recommend visiting the gallery. A very pleasant and informative place in Gomel. There are always temporary exhibitions here. Some of them will be discussed in the next post.

I recently attended an exhibition of blood donors at the Vashchenko Gallery. I especially liked how beautifully and knowledgeably the chief curator of the painting and gallery told us about everything. After the exhibition, he gave us a tour of the entire gallery and introduced us to Vashchenko's work in a very interesting way. It is clear that the person really likes his work and that he thoroughly knows the creative path of the author whose name the gallery was named after. I am sure that when we build a creative society in which everyone who wants to can reveal their talent as an artist, all cities will be dotted with art galleries of real talents. Because in a creative society, human life will be the most important thing, so everyone will be provided with everything necessary, including an unconditional basic income in the equivalent of 10,000 dollars, so a talented artist may not even set himself the goal of making money, but will simply improve in painting paintings to popularize all the best that is in people and on our planet. After all, true talent can develop only as a result of altruistic activity. This is proved by the stories of many artists. For money, talent develops hundreds of times slower and worse. This is how the Lord has arranged our world. Once again, many thanks to the painting and the Vashchenko Gallery and especially to the main curator for a very interesting presentation of those artistic treasures that the Vashchenko Gallery stores. Apparently, Vashchenko was a very good man who really loved the Slavic lands of people and greatly respected the work of every mother, every grain grower. And every person in general.

We were at an exhibition dedicated to the Romanov family. A terrible organization. Incorrect captions under the photo. On the poster it was indicated that the exhibition of icons. In fact, there is only one icon from the entire collection. It's not worth the money. I do not recommend visiting. Even the custodians of the foundation do not know the basics. And hear it..It's the Russian colleagues' fault. Guilty of what..that illiterate people work. They really ruined the impression of the gallery. It is better to visit other museums of our wonderful city

We were with the children. The tour, which costs 3 rubles per person, lasted 15 minutes. During these 15 minutes, everyone managed to feel uneducated and ignorant. I really liked the exhibition of St. Petersburg artist Nikos Safronov. When we came in, the girl who works there told the visitors the facts from the artist's life. I think it was her initiative. Because we visited the exhibition in the summer and we also really liked it, there are no guides at the exhibitions, but the staff are very friendly and tell and show everything you ask and even take you through the gallery and mark interesting works. Vashchenko's paintings themselves are darkness, they are all in gloomy tones, there is not a single bright picture. The author clearly has something wrong, he looks at the world through black glasses, he has some kind of hopelessness and longing. But the world is not like that, and it depends on us how to see it and what kind of world to shape, we must be a creator and transform the world. And Vashchenko's paintings create only despondency and demoralization. In principle, I do not recommend viewing his paintings. But the gallery is good and if there are other exhibitions there, then it's worth watching. For example, in January there was "I am an artist, I see it that way." I really liked this exhibition.
