The museum is very good, I recommend it! The entrance ticket costs 12 GEL, we did not book the tour in advance, we asked on the spot and were offered guided tours in Russian or English, for 40 GEL per group. A beautiful girl told us in detail and interestingly about the exhibits of the museum, it was interesting. The museum itself has the main plaques in English and Georgian, but many experts have signatures in Russian, as the main collection of the museum was collected during the Soviet era. The museum has a small souvenir shop where you can find interesting and beautiful things. The building in which the museum is located was designed by a Polish architect specifically for this museum (and formerly a scientific center), so it has an unusual and noteworthy architecture.

On one of the outskirts of Tbilisi, near the Dinamo Stadium, there is a small two-storey building in the style of 19th century buildings. It is there that the unique silk museum, known for its unique collections, is located. Hardly any of us have thought about what a long and laborious process it is to create a silk cloth. The museum presents all the stages of its creation. You can see a collection of caterpillars, cocoons of different sizes, and see how silk thread is pulled and processed from them. Understand the principle of co-creation of the canvas Those who like to look at ready-made fabrics will also really like it here. Paintings from India, Japan, Georgia, and China are on display. It was a revelation to me to learn that some types of corduroy are also made from silk threads. This is probably why the prices for these species are very high. If you are lucky and you visit this museum from the end of spring until about June, then you are allowed to feed the mulberry worms with leaves. We were in August- that's why we missed such a pleasure. The entrance price to the museum is low-GEL 12. It includes a visit to the museum, library, and watching a short movie. One of the disadvantages is that there are no guided tours in Russian. In English, you also need to order in advance. But if you don't need an additional explanation, you'll also be happy to wander through the dates. Explanations can be read by yourself under the exhibits. But it's still a pity that there's no audio guide.

A wonderful museum! We visited it with great pleasure. It's very interesting to look at butterflies, mulberry herbariums, dyes, fabric examples, and a bunch more. On the 1st floor there were lovely temporary exhibitions about Tbilisi silk and Soviet New Year's toys. We took the tour and didn't regret it.: Sophie told me everything in great detail and interestingly.
