A very interesting monument to Stefan Nemanja was recently erected on the square near the old railway station of Belgrade. The monument was designed by Alexander Rukavishnikov. The base of the monument is a pierced, rusted Byzantine helmet, decorated from the inside with reliefs depicting memorable moments of Nemanja's life and the formation of the Serbian state. And the inside of the helmet is the tip of the wand, part of which goes deep into the ground and can be seen through the glass floor. The monument can be viewed for a very long time, as it is full of symbols that are well understood by everyone who knows the history of Serbia.

I can say that it is the most magnificent monument I have seen in Belgrade. It is a huge and very detailed work. There are many inscriptions and detailed embroideries on the inner side of the lower part. I have never seen another monument where its surroundings were so well taken care of. It also has a great fit with the building behind it. I would definitely recommend you to visit.
