Must visit in Gyumri, located in main square.

For me personally, it is very strange when people leave reviews about churches. I will speak about this rather as a historical monument, an unusual architectural object with incredibly beautiful paintings on the vaults of the building. I think it will be good for Christian believers, representatives of other faiths, as well as atheists who love architecture and painting to visit here.
In front of the building there is a sculpture memorial to the victims of the earthquake and those who took part in the aftermath of the tragedy. A very worthy work by the sculptor, it fully conveys the atmosphere of despair and fear of those who suffered during this tragedy.

The church is the main dominant of the city. It has been restored for 8 years, and still does not work. There is no illumination at night, the park behind the church is dead, but there is an alley of khachkars, fountains, wonderful willows on it. In the city center, a huge potentially very attractive area is disappearing. At night, the church is not noticeable at all, there is another church on the other side of the square, which attracts much more attention to itself, although less than this one.
