I recently visited Ta Prohm Temple, and it was simply unforgettable! Surrounded by giant trees and roots, this amazing temple creates an atmosphere of mystery and magic. The combination of nature and architecture is impressive — it seems that time has stopped here. Walking along the narrow paths, you can see the magnificent carved details on the walls that have been preserved for centuries. I especially remember the moment when I found myself under huge trees, the roots of which are wrapped around ancient stone structures. It's really a unique sight! The staff at the temple is very friendly and always ready to help with questions. I recommend taking a guided tour — they will tell you a lot of interesting things about the history and significance of this place. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy the beauty of nature and ancient architecture, be sure to visit Ta Prom. This place leaves an unforgettable impression and immerses in the atmosphere of Khmer culture. I will definitely come back again!

I have seen the ruins of many temples where trees grow in Russia, however, in Cambodia the climate is milder and the trees are bigger))) No one touches these trees, does not try to steal them for souvenirs, rather, the ruins themselves are in greater danger, tourists need an eye and an eye. It's one thing to bring photos and impressions from a trip, but it's another to bring a piece of the temple. The small fragments of the temple have apparently been dismantled a long time ago, but no one needs the big ones, except Angelina Jolie))) The locals are polite and try to get out of the frame, it's nice to shoot.

The famous Cambodian temple of Ta Prohm is one of the most monumental buildings located on the territory of the Hindu complex of Angkor. The ancient temple, which is now in a dilapidated state, is surrounded by dense jungle thickets. The construction of the temple, built in the baronial style, considered traditional for the Khmer, was completed in 1186. The construction of the Ta-Prohm was carried out by order of King Jayavarman VII of the Khmer Empire, who thereby sought to perpetuate the memory of his mother. During its heyday, the temple complex covered an area of 730 square kilometers, on which 260 statues of Hindu gods, covered with gilding, were installed, 39 towers were built, and hundreds of stone buildings were erected for the residence of servants. The perimeter of the complex was surrounded by a wall, which has not been preserved to this day. For hundreds of years, the jungle advancing on the temple has changed its architecture beyond recognition, so it is quite difficult for travelers to imagine what the Temple was like several centuries ago. In the middle of the last century, scientists and archaeologists decided that it was necessary to restore the historical monument. In 1992, the temple complex was protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. At the same time, restoration work was launched.
