"The tallest GREEN building in the world!" is how the Taiwanese themselves call their beautiful tower, 101 floors high!
At the time of construction, it was simply the tallest building in the world - the first skyscraper built to exceed the height of half a kilometer, the first record-breaking building built in the XXI century, was the tallest from 2004 to 2008 in the world and from 2003 to 2007 in Asia. It is the tenth tallest in the world, the fifth tallest in Asia!
On the 89th floor of the building there is a glazed observation deck, from which, in good weather, you can see not only Taipei itself, but also its surroundings!
There, on the observation deck, inside the building, you can see a huge 600-ton ball hanging on 180 steel tracks and providing it with earthquake resistance! By the way, this was confirmed in April of this year during the strongest cataclysm in Taiwan since 1999!
Life hack - if you want to climb to an open observation deck under the very spire of a skyscraper, then such a service exists, but you need to sign up for it very much in advance and it is not cheap!
You experience interesting sensations when climbing and descending to / from the 89th floor - the tower has the fastest elevators in the world, providing a rate of climb of over 60 km / h!!!
In addition to the observation deck in Taipei 101 there are offices, a couple of panoramic restaurants (very decent!) and a large shopping mall downstairs with lots of boutiques.
In the basement of the building there is a wonderful food court, where all kinds of Asian cuisine are presented and its "pearl" is the flagship institution of the famous Dinh Tai Fun chain - the only Michelin-starred dumpling in the world!
I highly recommend you to visit! It is better to go on weekdays and not at lunchtime - queues there can reach an hour and a half! There is no pre-order! 🤷🏻♂️

The view from above, of course, is fascinating.
Especially, probably, at the moment when the earthquake…
Still, it's shaking…
But I did not have a chance to visit this building at such a moment.
I definitely recommend it - and be sure to go out to the open observation deck!

One of the tallest skyscrapers in the world! A very interesting design with a pendulum for damping vibrations during earthquakes.

The shape of the building itself gives away the culture of Asia very much, its modernity is mixed with culture

Definitely worth a visit to this skyscraper and climb to the observation deck. This is a miracle of engineering, the first residential building above 500 m.

101 этаж. Сколько впечатлений от этого здания. Лифт - это произведение искусства инжинерии. 89 этаж - шар, который помогает стоять этому зданию. Потом вид на город и кафехи.
