Uzbekistan's investment in their airport has transformed what was once a dismal experience to a world class and enjoyable airport. So impressed with the progress they have made. Massive improvements in drop off and check in, comfortable terminal. good food and some shopping . Now leaving the airport is actually a pleasant experience with an indoor waiting area and much more comfortable process.

Tashkent Airport International Terminal. For me, the most important thing was being able to exit the airport without any waiting. The passport control and customs staff were extremely friendly.. Yes, the airport might be a bit old and outdated, and perhaps Tashkent deserves a better one, but functionally, we didn’t experience any issues. Compared to airports located far outside the city, it’s a wonderful feeling to be in the city center the moment you step out.

Givibg 5 starts just to recognize the hard work and effort of staff who have managed to make significant improvements into airport service. For those expats who have been long enough, you know well that the flight time was shorter than time for passing immigration and picking up luggage and passing customs. Thank you for improvements, keep up the good job. Looking forward to opening of a decent Uzbek restaurant at airport. Imagine taking plof with you for a New York flight.

The staff is friendly enough and everyone speaks Russian! The waiting leaves much to be desired: there are few seats in the waiting room, there are not enough for everyone. The business hall is small, the food is meager, no frills, no assortment and little cooked, a little more visitors and some of the hunger! The carpet floor is dirty, and tables are cleaned after visitors upon request. Inspection is a separate topic! I was extremely disappointed this year (((( They took away a keyring-a scissor knife, tiny, only 5 cm, blade length 2 cm. By all rights, such items are not taken away at this size! I've been traveling with him for 10 years in different countries, including Tashkent last year, and no one has ever asked any questions! But this man apparently really wanted to have such a thing - the original Switzerland.

Everything is fine! Customs and border guards at the highest level. The waiting rooms are cozy. The check-in staff is polite and even tells you what's wrong. The flight may be delayed for 5-7 minutes, just because a couple of Chinese people can be found at the airport (and the staff is running around the hall and calling them on the speakerphone in 3 languages) Taxis are allowed to go to the doors on the 1st floor (this is on departure), and an escalator to the 2nd floor. 👍👍👍💪💪💪
