Good afternoon. We rested at the Temple Tree resort and spa from December 8 to December 18, 2024. A good hotel, a great place for introverts and people who just want to take a break from people and the hustle and bustle) . Now for the points: The room is good, not great and not perfect, but the price is appropriate, you need to understand this, plus do not forget that this is Asia). The room has a nice bed with a comfortable mattress, a mini-refrigerator, air conditioning - old, but working. TV (not used). Working WiFi. There was a fan hanging over the bed, we only turned it on. Kettle, glasses, cups and saucers, tea/ coffee / sugar / 2 bottles of water, which were replenished every day during cleaning. A wardrobe with 2 hangers and a safe. The bathroom is combined with a shower stall with a rain shower, the water was always hot. There is no hair dryer, no toothbrush/toothpaste, and no slippers. There was a balcony with two armchairs, a small dryer, 2 wide beach towels and a pair of swimsuits could easily fit on it. Beach towels were in the room, very comfortable. Cleaning was carried out every day, shower towels were changed daily, the supply of shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper was replenished. The furniture itself is wooden, yes, with chips, the closet creaked when opened, the curtains need dry cleaning, but for us these are small things. Meal. We had half board, i.e. breakfast and dinner included, without alcohol. European and Lankan/Indian cuisine is presented. Buffet-style meals. Breakfast: different variations of egg dishes (boiled soft-boiled, scramble, poached+ an omelet was cooked under the knife when you were there), chicken sausages and bacon, pancakes, pancakes, cereals, plus local cuisine (for me it was too spicy, immediately passed by). Fruits: guava, mini bananas, papaya, pineapple, watermelon. Very tasty. Salads with fresh vegetables, ice cream, coffee/tea, desserts (not bad) . Dinner: chicken, shrimp in some sauce, beef (tough), squid, fish, rice, pasta, pasta, soup, and again, Indian and local cuisine. Salads, fruits. Desserts were often prepared from under the knife - fried banana in batter with ice cream or fried pineapple in batter). Shrimps in batter were also cooked. And for 1 day we cooked barbecue from different types of meat. You will definitely not stay hungry. Alcohol, as I wrote, was not included in our meals, but there are 2 bars next to the kitchen, if desired, you can order alcohol there (I saw that people were brought wine, cocktails, beer).I can't figure out the prices, we bought local rum and sprite, and made cocktails in the evenings on our own. Beach area: clean, the guys cleaned daily. The sand is clean, fine and very sticky. Sun beds (there are a lot of them, there will be enough for everyone), were located under palm trees, very convenient. People were lying at a distance from each other, there was a lot of space, a thrill for lovers of solitude and silence. You definitely won't lie side by side with other people, even during peak season. There is always a place for shade, if desired, you can pull out a sunbed and sunbathe. The ocean itself: warm, beautiful, but there have always been waves. The red flag hung throughout our vacation. It is difficult to swim, for a couple of days we did not go into the ocean at all, only wet our feet, because the waves were too strong. This needs to be taken into account. We need to swim carefully, we got used to it after a couple of days, swam between the waves, and during the waves we jumped and dived so as not to be washed ashore. There were 2 swimming pools for comfortable swimming - clean, warm. Animation:in the usual sense, it does not exist (and thank God). During the dinner, a saxophonist/ a local musician played guitar / dancers performed. It's all on different days). For lunch, we went to the Induruwa Beach Club restaurant, a 2-minute walk along the beach. Delicious, but expensive. We went to the neighboring Bentota by tuk-tuk for rum, because there is nothing in Induruva itself. There are tuk-tukers in front of the hotel, I advise you to download the pick me app, it's something like our Uber or Yandex.go, so that you can understand how much a trip to a particular place costs. We haggled, drove a little more expensive than the application showed, but also did not overpay 2 prices) agree on the price in advance, before we got into the tuk-tuk. That's about it. Summarizing the above, it is a great place for introverts, without movement, for a relaxing holiday. Drive with a good mood, and don't focus on the little things, and the rest will be great)

This was my fourth hotel in Sri Lanka, so there is something to compare it with. I really didn't like the service, the tasteless food, the narrow beach, the waves are bigger than other hotels in the Bentota area, and the rooms are two times smaller. If you want to return to other hotels, then this one is for nothing. The prices on the restaurant menu and in bars are greatly inflated, fans are not turned on for breakfast and dinner, so it's stuffy and simply impossible to eat, and the water that is updated daily in the room is brought in open bottles, poured from nowhere. In no country in the world, in no hotel, except for this, have I ever seen a beach towel given out alone for the entire period of stay, it's all covered in sand and does not dry out after a day, there is no music at all.

Hello! I do not share the laudatory reviews for this hotel – it completely does not correspond to 4 stars....I would put a maximum of 1 and then only for a gorgeous beach. Temple tree resort & spa is the very hotel where you should never go. Why? 1. Old shabby furniture, it seems that it was installed 20-30 years ago, so it still stands ... everything is wobbly, creaks and looks presentable, to put it mildly. I do not advise you to turn on the huge fan above the bed if you do not want to star in the new part of the movie "destination" 2. Plumbing – if you know how all taps should work normally and water should run, then I will tell you this – this hotel does not know about it. The toilet is leaking, the faucet is running hot and cold water, and there is always dampness in the restroom. 3. Mini-mini refrigerator – fits two 1.5L bottles of water and goodbye! By the way, we recommend buying water in stores, because they don't always bring it to the room (oh my God, 2 bottles). A TV without Russian channels (for whom it is important to watch Sasha-tanya after a 10h flight and relax) and there were problems with it at first too (they forgot to change the batteries in the remote control and it did not work). 4. When you check into a hotel, you are not warned that you will not be alone, but in the company of a bunch of cockroaches and beetles. Your complaint may be answered by some means, but as practice has shown, there will be even more cockroaches! If you are cool about insects, then skip this point. 5. The hotel has big problems with electricity. For almost 2 weeks of our stay, the lights were turned off 3 times for several hours ... and the air conditioner that flows (in the excuse of the hotel staff – the water flow was eliminated the first time) cannot work and you will immediately feel all the delights of the climate in the month of March on Induruwa. 6. Nutrition? In no case do not take it, and even breakfast, if they offer them to you for free! Chefs not only cook without gloves, but also add their spices to all dishes in general. The buffet is turning into a boom... spice market! Nothing from the menu has changed in 14 days, and the staff does not know that when a dish ends, you need to report it. Tea and coffee are not bad, you can also take juices: attention, they are served only for tomorrow, and for dinner, kind waiters will approach you and offer you to drink water or something else for money. Business level 99! P.S. behind the hotel there is a chic cafe called "Janus Paradise" with affordable prices, a good selection and a Russian menu. Their cola costs 2.5 times cheaper than in the hotel bar – do not overpay too much! 7. The territory of the hotel is small, but quite well maintained. The pool is small, for an adult man 180 cm tall, the depth is just above the waist ... it will suit children exactly, but adults only go into the ocean or swear every time you go there! 8. The beach is gorgeous! A long, shallow sand, a gentle long approach. The only thing is that it often storms, but here the claim is no longer to the hotel . 9. I also want to add about the service: okay, see you off early in the morning, but no one is set up to meet you here. You come in and sit waiting for someone to run up. The uncle who opens the big gate to get into the hotel always comes out with such a face, as if we still have to pay him extra for lifting his fifth point… 10. The location of the hotel on the one hand is excellent – quiet, no animation and even the noise of the railway that runs nearby does not interfere. But if proximity to civilization is important to you, choose another place. Total: The first experience of Sri Lanka is 5 out of 10 (of course, the rating is only for the amazing nature, but not for the hotel).

Great hotel! My friends and I were at the end of April, as if it were not the season. There are few people in the hotel, we were settled in a room with access to the pool. The room is generally good, the bathroom will require repair soon, but it is generally good. It is especially convenient to get from the room to the pool, to the ocean on the beach. The restaurant works perfectly, everything is very tasty and breakfast and dinner. Musicians play in the evening and one day there was even a show program. Friends who have visited many places appreciated the hotel's solid 4k, I put 5 tk there is always something to find fault with, but in this hotel you almost do not notice it

We had a rest at the Pandanus Hotel in June. Absolutely liked everything. The rooms are spacious. They clean up every day and the ocean view is just a bomb. We had a room on the ground floor. Direct access to the pool. The territory is guarded 24/7. The food is delicious. There is a cafe near the coast. Where you can eat delicious seafood. 2 times cheaper than hotels. You can take a tuk tuk to the market to buy fruits. We paid only 300 rupees there and back. That's $1. At the same time, it can take you to any store where you wish. We liked everything. I recommend

When we arrived at the hotel, I was in a state of unreal euphoria that lasted two days. I gave the hotel 5 stars, because I was delighted with everything! But then the cons began to reveal themselves, I'll start with the pros. The hotel itself and the territory are intimate and authentic, which cannot but be a plus, a deserted beach, the absence of a large number of people. On the second day, the entire staff already knows you. We had an all-inclusive accommodation. Meals 3 times a day. Everything is delicious! Drinks in unlimited quantities, and the Staff almost blows dust off you)) therefore, I still recommend buying all inclusive for future hotel guests. There are no insects. At least no one bit me, no one crawled in the rooms. One day a lizard crawled in, but the maids swept it off the balcony with a mop 😅 Every day the receptionist calls in the evening and asks how we are doing, if we need anything in the room. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Minuses: 1. Our room was changed, because the air conditioner broke down in the original one. And in the second room (as in all the proposed ones), there was a smell of mold, we searched for a source in the cramped day, and found it in the MATTRESS. We removed the sheet to see what was under the sheet, and there was mold. Our mattress was changed, of course. The mold didn't bother us anymore. 2. The room cleaning is mediocre, but it didn't bother us. They're really trying! 3. The lack of paper napkins in the restaurant. It's a real pain! One napkin per person for the entire meal. It was obvious from the people around that they were suffering from it too. Honestly, I didn't understand why the hotel has such problems with napkins. That's exactly what a minus one star is for. 4. Chipmunk 💩 throughout the hotel. Although the cleaning of the territory was carried out regularly, the strange thing was that the excrement was not cleaned at all. Minkies all over the lawn. 5. The Internet is so-so. Tg is loading intermittently, but as far as I understand, this is our widespread problem in Lanka. Despite the disadvantages, in the case of the totality of the entire stay, I will recommend this hotel. And if I happen to visit Sri Lanka again, I will definitely come to Temple. And I will also remember their divine banana cupcakes…

We stayed at this hotel in March, the weather is excellent, the water temperature is comfortable. Among the advantages - quiet, peaceful, delicious and varied food, lots of fruits, lots of products, air conditioning and fans in all rooms. Friendly and smiling staff, the beach is clean, there is no problem with sun beds, there are free ones at any time of the day. Beautiful view of the ocean. There were no mosquitoes, although everyone was scaring us with them. Of the minuses - bed linen and towels are rarely changed - you need to ask, there are no scales to weigh your luggage before departure and we really did not like the hotel guide (from the word at all). But we found a way out - the reviews had contacts of a local "guide" who speaks Russian and it was a gift of fate, he drove us to all the iconic places in a great car, helped us choose tea, fruits, rum and much more. So look for SUDI on the beach (name, emphasis on and). He's cool - calm, respectful, executive, and most importantly speaks Russian. In short, we liked the rest, we learned a lot of interesting things from the history of Sri Lanka. We recommend it!!!

A quiet, peaceful hotel, the staff was helpful with every request. Your own clean beach) Nutrition - to support yourself not in a state of hunger - OK) there is not much variety, but I think everyone will be able to choose a dish for themselves! (Not to compare with the same buffet in Turkey)
