I wanted to go this coworking and was given a plastic access card to go upstairs. To my surprise, they asked to take my personal ID as a deposit so that I wouldn’t “steal” the card. This practice is outdated and frankly quite inappropriate for one of the most modern towers in the city. Handing over a government ID - especially to a private building - is not a reasonable or secure requirement. Most professional buildings manage visitor access without taking people’s identification hostage. I hope the management reviews this policy and adopts a more respectful and modern approach to visitor security.
