Everyone knows that there is little left of Ancient Carthage, as it was destroyed at least twice. The first time and to the ground (with plowing and sprinkling with salt) was in 146 BC. according to the results of the Third Punic War and according to the precepts of the famous Roman senator Cato the elder (the same one – "Carthago delenda est" ("Carthage must be destroyed")©). So everything that has come down to our days and is being excavated on the slopes of Birsa Hill is the ruins of ancient Roman Carthage. The most famous fragment is the Archaeological Park "Baths of Anthony". Thermes d'antonin de Carthage seemed quite interesting, and the two–hour walk was informative and even fascinating in some ways. PS. No less exciting was the purchase of souvenirs in one of the shops near the main entrance - the initially stated price is reduced by 5 (FIVE) times according to the results of two-minute (!) bidding!

An interesting place. Ruins of Carthage, beach, sand, palm trees. Nearby there are souvenir shops and cafes with Arabic coffee. It is always interesting to visit the antiquities and imagine yourself as a participant in distant events. It will be interesting to visit with your family, children, and grandchildren. Everyone will get a good impression

An interesting historical place, we were lucky to have a guide, we learned a lot of new things. The size is impressive, especially when you realize that it was created several hundred or thousands of years ago.

The baths are located on the territory of Carthage. Now a suburb of Tunis. To occupy a vast territory. There are many preserved elements-columns, arches, tiles. I visited Tunisia-Carthage-Sidi bou Said during the tour. Very little time was given for self-inspection of the baths, only half an hour. Therefore, it was not possible to dive into the stories in a good way. I recommend coming on your own, buying a ticket and enjoying a leisurely walk.

The place is, of course, beautiful - a view of the sea, the presidential palace. But it is not too closely related to history: there are a lot of new concrete models with obvious traces of formwork. You can take a walk once, no more...

Being among the ruins, you feel like a grain of sand and bow down to the ancient masters who, without modern devices, created such a grandiose beauty!

More has been preserved than I thought, but much less than I would like.
