Terpsthora is the patroness of dancing and choral singing. A character from ancient Greek myths, a popular image and symbol of art - the enjoyment of the audience by the benefits shown in art, the nourishment of the soul... Very interesting information about the ancient Greek goddess ... The description of the muse is different, so high up it makes it impossible to examine the sculpture. It may be worth organizing some kind of information stand inside the theater about all the muses located on the theater building.

It is difficult not to pay attention to these sculptures while in the vicinity of the Bolshoi Theater. And also, don't laugh, at the manhole covers with the date of the theater's foundation, you won't see this anywhere else in Minsk.

The sculpture of Terpsichore is located on the building of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater in Minsk at 1 Paris Commune Square. Terpsichore is represented here as the muse of dance and one of the four muses that adorn the facade of the theater along with Melpomene (the muse of the theater), Calliope and Polyhymnia. All the sculptures are about 5 meters high, made of bronze and tinted with special technology so that the bronze does not turn green over time. Terpsichore is depicted next to other muses hovering over the entrance to the theater, which also features Apollo and the nymphs.
