Some of the Jews Pankevich saved later ended up in the United States and Israel, where they testified about his feat, and in 1983 Yad Vashem recognized Tadeusz Pankevich as the Righteous of the Nations of the World. In the same year, the pharmacy in Krakow was restored and a small museum exhibition was opened. Now the exposition has been expanded and updated, tells about the monstrous living conditions in the Krakow ghetto, about the fate of the dead and survivors, and about the heroic efforts of Tadeusz Pankiewicz and the pharmacy staff to alleviate the fate of Jews in those terrible conditions.
