An interesting museum in the historical building of one of the most influential people of the era, who concentrated all the power in the city in his hands - Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios. The house was built at the end of the 18th century. It is surrounded by a triple belt of walls resembling a real fortress, behind which lies a real oasis with palm trees, a fountain and an orchard. Climbing the wooden stairs we get into a spacious hall, on the left side of which there are bedrooms and boudoirs. Each room has its own color - a red bedroom, a cobalt pantry, where the original 19th century green service from Damascus is displayed in the windows, a white hall and a green room in which an exposition of jewelry art is presented. In the right, traditionally male part, there is a ceremonial reception room with a carved ceiling, sofas covered with scarlet velvet, silk curtains and a huge oriental carpet. Meetings were held here with the Turkish governor and the nobility, on the one hand, and with the highest Greek clergy and elders on the other. A small Turkish bath is well preserved in the courtyard.
