The hotel itself is not bad for tourists who spend the whole day outside and in fact only come to spend the night - hot water, clean bed linen, relative cleanliness in the room. But at the same time, the rooms are very small, the TV did not work, that is, it is not very comfortable to spend a long time in the hotel. The biggest disadvantage is the receptionist named Berg, a disgusting type! Arrogant, boorish, we couldn't solve a single issue through him, he still openly laughed at us. Not a day passed that one of the guests did not quarrel with him. If the management of the hotel keeps him there, it will obviously not benefit the reputation of the hotel

We ordered a standard double room.
We checked in on 12/30/2024 for 7 nights.
Pros: the location of the hotel is 5 minutes from Sultan Ahmed Mosque.
Room cleaning and towel change every day.
There are no cockroaches or other animals.
The reception staff went to meet us.
Minus. You are not guaranteed a room, even in case of prepayment, as in the photo in the "Island".
Initially, we were offered a room with no refrigerator, kettle, wardrobe, only 4 beds and a bathroom.
We asked for a replacement number and they met us halfway.
Basically, everything is visible in the photo. The rooms are tired. The kettle was lent to us by another guest. In general, you can stay overnight.

I put 4 (so I would put 2) only because of the excellent Russian-speaking young man at the reception, who always helped and went to the meeting, which I can not say about the other-the Turk (who the only thing he told us did not like, you can go)
initially we were settled in economy and standard, despite the fact that that we paid for 2 standards, only the next day we were relocated. the bathroom is all mildewed, a lot of dust, dirty. but on the plus side - towels are changed every day, the bed is changed every three days - to be honest, we did not expect this.
the breakfasts are meager, but you can have a snack

The hotel has a very good location, all historical sights are within walking distance. We stayed for 6 nights in April, room 504 on the last (I think the fourth) floor overlooking the Marmara Sea (I was very worried that they would put us in some kind of economy room in the basement, but we were probably lucky). There is an elevator to the penultimate floor. The room itself is very small, we already had a mattress, the bathroom apparently had a bad extractor hood, because after the shower the whole room was steamed, which is why all the metal surfaces in the bathroom are covered with plaque. They were heated by air conditioning at night, I think it may be cold in winter. There is a panel near the doors where you can ask to clean up. On the first day, I accidentally clicked on it, when we returned to the room, we saw that the garbage had been taken out. No more cleaning was called, respectively, no one cleaned. There are no dishes in the room, no refrigerator, only shower accessories. Breakfasts are held in the next building - this is the Reina Hotel, quite tolerable for a budget tourist. You can come there to drink tea/coffee at any time.
There were no problems with the administrators, they all seemed very pleasant to me, the only Russian-speaking cook. The hotel is quite suitable for an overnight stay of a budget tourist, but no more.

The location is good. All attractions are within walking distance. Near the sea, 10 minutes on foot. Probably justifies 3 stars. And the markets are not far away. Just do not need to compare the 3 stars of Dubai and this one. The difference is big. If you plan to walk mostly, then you can live.

We rented a room in the basement in Lyle, we needed a cheap room without much luxury, since we returned to it only to spend the night, everything we needed in the room is there, the garbage was taken out regularly.

A disgusting hotel. I don't know where the 3.2 rating comes from. If the tour operator offers you this hotel or you accidentally stumbled upon it yourself, run far away. Of the advantages, only the location. There are historical sights nearby, many cafes and bazaars. But for this you need to climb the mountain silently. There were dirty mattresses at the reception desk. They put us in a room, which immediately shocked us. The whole bathroom is dirty. There is mold everywhere, it is impossible to wash. Nothing has changed after cleaning. But perhaps the cleaning was carried out only according to their words.
As the biggest minus, I can single out the living creatures in the rooms, specifically cockroaches. Don't be surprised at night if someone crawls over you.
We decided to look at another room for the sake of interest, but it turned out to be just as deplorable. The same mold, only with an additional fee of 40 euros.
The hotel itself consists of 3 parts under different names. It doesn't matter which one you book-they will check into whichever one they want. It's disgusting everywhere.

I assumed that this hotel would not be very luxurious, so the prices were appropriate. That is, not expensive. But it turned out that this institution is not even worth the money. If we do not take into account that the so-called employee named Bega, who was sitting at the reception, was worthless and irresponsible, on the first day he put us in an economical room instead of a standard one, while accusing us and our tour operator of some "inaccuracies" when re-booking. And then, after the corresponding room was vacated, for some reason moving us, he again demanded that we contact our tour operator, ostensibly to confirm the re-booking. And when I found out that this should not be done from the director of the hotel, but nevertheless I informed whom I should, and he wondered what kind of confirmation it was. In addition, this "employee" distinguished himself again. For three days, I strenuously asked to fix the problems in the bathroom. But he never did anything, even though he promised every morning. The penultimate day before departure was eliminated only when I contacted the same director. I was very disgusted to visit this hotel. Although we were outside the hotel all day, we walked around the sights of Istanbul and it was very cool, and not a pleasant aftertaste remained from this not good employee, whose name is Bega. I do not advise anyone to choose this hotel.

The rooms are very dirty, the furniture is old, there is a disgusting smell all the time. Breakfast is announced, but it is very difficult to name what was offered. Even after asking for a room change, there is still dirt and disgusting sound insulation. Someone else's urine finished off on the rim of the toilet, to which the answer was received: "yes, we washed your toilet, just then we went into it and forgot to flush it." It's just not clear why they washed it then. For yourself?

Small rooms. They almost do not clean, if they clean it badly. Only the location near all the main attractions is captivating.

The photos are better than they actually are. The towels are scented, not white. Breakfasts need to be checked, missing food has been found. The guys at the reception are trying their best, the only plus.

A disgusting hotel. If you can even call this place that. There are a lot of hotels in Istanbul, if possible, do not check into this and the next 3. One owner. Everything in the rooms is old, no one cleans. A bunch of other people's hair. Disgusting!

The hotel is definitely not 3 stars, as stated. The standard room is very small, in need of repair, the water flows down in the shower for a day, so you have to go to the toilet through puddles, the plumbing is tired. During the week of arrival, the room was not cleaned once, the bed and towels were also not changed, even the common staircases and Corridors were not cleaned. You need to take out the garbage yourself, you also need to ask for toilet paper at the reception if it runs out... Well, something like that. Breakfast is meager. The mattress is terribly hard.
Among the advantages: Russian-speaking reception staff, proximity to the central Sultanahet square

The owner has 3 hotels nearby: Lola, Layla and I forgot the name of the third one. It doesn't matter which hotel you book, they will settle you as they want. The hotels are small, very economical, just for spending the night.
But they are located in the very center of Istanbul: just a couple of blocks from Chamberlitash and the Grand Bazaar, 10 minutes to Sultanahmet. In general, Istanbul smooths out all the shortcomings 😍👍
