One of the pleasant moments of visiting Dalat was a visit to one of the local pagodas called Wang Han, famous in tourist circles for the sculpture of the Golden Buddha, installed here in 2002. The 24-meter-high gilded Buddha statue itself is located on a man-made hill, inside of which there is an altar and a museum. Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a throne in the form of a golden lotus flower and holds a small (also golden) lotus flower in his right hand. Above the Buddha's head is a halo or halo of resplendent sanctity "jayaprabha" ("light of victory"). Some tourists called the halo a radio antenna, and one even compared it to a fan. Still, it's interesting how people attribute certain things, depending on their own, let's call it that, characteristics and level of development. Although from the point of view of humor, you can smile (but only slightly, with all due respect). The low, brightly decorated pagoda itself, built in 1958, is also very beautiful. To my paradoxical feelings, she looks both modest and solemnly pompous. Inside there is a bronze Buddha statue, altars, statues of the Buddhist pantheon, arhats, dragons and various mystical creatures. There is a very beautiful area around, surrounded by flowers and greenery, with statues of gods and their companions, animals everywhere, as well as another reclining Buddha (this time white) . Given that it is much cooler in the mountainous Dalat, the walk through the territory was especially pleasant.
