Well, it's very atmospheric, the cemetery is ‘magical, if I may say so) Located on a busy street, but as soon as you cross the gate, silence, tranquility, a feeling of something incredible envelops ... I really liked this place!

It is impossible to fully experience the spirit of Muslim Istanbul without visiting the cemetery. We came here by accident. They didn't even realize at first that this was a cemetery! I was interested in stands with earrings, and my husband was interested in columns. Then I saw a sign that it was a tourist site, then we saw the tourists themselves with backpacks, went in and... oh, we're at the cemetery! And if you came here not only for Greek history, then you will be interested. Unusual graves, flower beds, columns. Everything is elaborately carved. Plaques with information about the deceased are a separate topic. We tried to translate some of them. For example, the type of activity indicated there is a caligraph . Or -cheering the soul... They went to the mausoleum itself, where the sultan, his harem, and dignitaries are buried. On the street there are graves of shahzadeh, who died at a very old age. I think it's not necessary to come here on purpose, but if you run past, take a look.
