Both times at the entrance, the hostess/ manager was not particularly friendly, each time making a displeased face when we said that we had not booked (although there were enough empty seats). The waitresses were much more willing. but! The food is quite tasty, especially khinkali. Salads and kebabs were also pleasantly pleased both in taste and in portion size. I found this restaurant according to reviews, it is located far from the center, but you can easily get there by taxi. Without a reservation, we barely sat down on Friday evening. The place is clearly popular with locals, and for good reason. It's not a fancy place, but the food is incredibly delicious. We ordered Topaz salad, pork shish kebab on a bone and khinkali. The portions are huge (you can even have one salad for three people), it's incredibly delicious. I've never eaten this kind of salad anywhere. Shish kebab and khinkali are also beyond praise. The best Khinkali, we have been visiting Topaz for two years and bringing all our relatives and friends. We visited the restaurant on 05/5.25. The restaurant was chosen based on ratings and reviews in Yandex Maps. 5.0. There were four of us adults and two children aged 6 and 7. It was raining outside. They greeted us with the question "have we booked a table?" and after a negative answer, the attitude towards us changed dramatically. With an expression of great favor on our face, we were escorted to the table. It smelled like smoking. No one smokes in our company, so we moved to another table away from the smoking tables. Despite the fact that the signs "NO SMOKING" and a fine of 50,000 drams were placed on the first and second floors, all the tables were smoking. The waiter was very unhappy that we moved away from the smokers, said that they "didn't do that", but allowed us to stay at the table strictly for 2 hours!! (the restaurant was filled to a maximum of 20%, working day, 15 hours). The next requirement was to remove the wet umbrellas, because they "don't do that" so that the visitor could open the umbrella and dry it in a corner where it wouldn't bother anyone. Further, since we had two families, we asked to make two invoices to simplify the payment. And that lady ... "we don't do that."... Four-point meal. Very tasty khinkali, cucumber/tomato salad, kebab. But there are many doubts about chicken shish kebab and veal shish kebab. The meat is rubbery, not chewed at all. The steak salad was claimed to be made from angus meat, but it wasn't close to angus. In general, you can eat. But disdainful attitude and lazy service. The unwillingness to comply with the rules of reception forced the rating to be lowered. The restaurant is located in an impassable location, that is, visiting only by "friends". Of course, you can eat and even find something delicious, but you need to work on everything else. Although... They don't bother much with it.

On my own, I recommend khinkali and topaz salad, and hot dishes of Arbat. But the Armenian aunts obviously served us without pleasure, through their lips. Khinkali is the most common, in a chain village in Voronezh and Rostov they serve exactly the same. There are only 3 types left to choose from: simple with meat for 300 drams apiece, fried with meat for 350 and fried with cheese for 350. Fried khinkali is like fried dumplings, there are no miracles. We also ordered grilled trout-just baked trout, nothing supernatural. Given the high prices and the remoteness of the place - don't even think about taking a taxi here - with all the rich food choices in Yerevan, you absolutely won't lose anything.
