There are a lot of people! It is better to come early in the morning. There are combined tickets. Palace, palace+church, palace+church+harem. The latter, in my opinion, is the most profitable. Do not get in line at the checkout right at the entrance, you can only pay in cash, in lira. If you go a little further there are vending machines for card payments. There is an audio guide, free of charge, but you need to leave your passport as a deposit. There are guys standing near the house with audio guides, ready to give you excursions for cash. All of them advise, but we haven't tried.

I visited this institution in July 2021. It was a discovery for me that they don't sell a separate ticket to topkapi, now the minimum price of 200 lira includes a visit to the complex itself plus an audio guide plus a visit to St. Irene's church, which simply has nothing to do. Well, we bought it for 200 lira, went through the turnstiles, went to the tent with an audio guide, and there was a surprise, they were given only with a passport as collateral. Money or valuables are not accepted as collateral. I asked them to take money from me for a 400 re remote control, but they yelled at me!!! First in Turkish, then in English. I had to run to the hotel to get my passports, the hotel was nearby. The mood was spoiled for several days. And they went to this institution only because of the treasury, which was closed for repairs. And there's nothing to do there without her. In general, be careful when visiting this place. I really regret that I did not take off the phone of the boor who yelled at me.

Delight! The beauty and atmosphere are creepy. If you come to the opening, then there are no crowds. The audio guide is issued only with an identity card.

History was made in this palace. Impressed by the place! I didn't like the audio guide. They give out a simple smartphone with an application. There is too much music in the stories "and now listen to such and such a work by such and such an author, which is so and so" and the composition starts for 3 minutes out of 4 allotted to the story about a specific point. The application really lacks a map with a built route or route options. The tour number is not indicated everywhere at the entrance to the new zone. In the current format, the walk is chaotic.

Of course, the museum and the place where the world was ruled from. But starting from June 1, the visit is 61 euros per person. I thought we were just unhappy, but tourists from England and Germany were also grumbling.

This is a masterpiece) I recommend that you first watch at least a little of the Magnificent Century series and then visit to plunge into this atmosphere! There are no words, only emotions. It's only a little expensive 1,700 lire per person, but it's definitely worth it!

The most beautiful palace complex, built over 5 centuries when the Turks captured Constantinople! It was the residence of the Turkish sultans before the construction of the Dolmabahce Palace in the middle of the 19th century. There is a huge park and a harem at the palace (there is a separate fee for it). Beautiful view of the Bosphorus, the Golden Horn and some areas of the city!

Istanbul's biggest hoax. The entrance fee is 200 liras, which is quite expensive. Inside you will see just buildings with tiles and lawns with trees. If you think it's worth paying for, then please. Plus, if you don't go early in the morning, you'll still stand in a decent queue. You won't be able to stand anything new for yourself there. You won't get smarter for this money either. It is better to visit the Hermitage or the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam 3 times. It's just not worth the money.

Very beautiful views in this park, you can sit on a bench to relax, there are shops nearby. Unfortunately, there is nothing but beautiful views, as a stop and on the way further to the embankment will go.

Sultan's Palace overlooking the Bosphorus. The palace has a large park and a harem. It is beautiful, rich, all rooms are tiled from floor to ceiling with handmade tiles. August 2018 - part of the palace is under restoration.

A one-time tour, you won't want to go there anymore! Grey, nondescript, in need of repair, this is certainly not the Hermitage! Even in the "off season" there are a lot of people. One of the advantages is an observation deck with a view of the sea.

1) Come to the opening! By 12 o'clock, there are already crowds, like during rush hour in transport - this is not a metaphor, but a good example... the queue for the audio guide will be 20-30 minutes, at the ticket office - free. 2) if you go by yourself, then collect the information beforehand. The audio guide is about nothing at all. At most, you will be guided by the scheme ((( 3) I am not impressed, alas... perhaps because of the mentioned crowds... but I was in Bakhchisarai earlier.. I liked it much more and there were quite a few people there... the idea of architecture and the organization of life of the Oriental style are quite comparable. And I don't watch TV and TV series ... (As many write in the reviews) so maybe I didn't say Ah-Oh ... Here is the price /quality ratio, information is a maximum of one on any scale. (950 rubles with a harem and a church, 750 without a harem, the course is 26.6-26.8 rubles. at the time of the visit). In the Diamond Fund and in the Museum of the East, and if you were also in the Hermitage, then you definitely saw more .... And yes, I understand that the museum has lost a lot of territories, including, but taking into account prices (mostly foreigners visit) and such passability is frenzied.... and an informative audio guide can be made in all languages (for the Portuguese there was not even one available) and restoration can be carried out and closed spaces can be opened for normal cafes inside... in general.... It's good at least to take pictures with almost prohibitions hanging everywhere ... In the reviews they regret the sultan's previously closed chambers for restoration - they didn't lose anything if you are not a religious Muslim... from the word Quite - the relics of this religion are on display. Nothing else.... 4) and another "lovely" moment. The price in the Harem separately - inside - 350Lir))) keep in mind.... By the way, the ticket is valid here only for ONE DAY (against a week in Dolmabakhche with a harem and an art museum - I recommend it). I didn't have enough time to familiarize myself with the crowds from 10 to 17.30 (the harem didn't fit, I just didn't go to Irina's church, seeing the building from the outside, and I lost my ticket in the process))))my husband said that there was nothing to look at, according to his photo - only the skeleton of an architectural structure... Dolmabahce with the harem and the art museum took 2 leisurely days with lunch and not an early rise. And yes, I look at museums and come back to something... The chips are not ready for computer scanning in my head yet)))) P.S. for people with limited mobility, this is hell.... they will not get to some places if they are not carried on their hands ((( there is NO equipment AT ALL!!! And stairs, steps, thresholds, etc. at every step... Not to mention the SLIPPERY glass covering covering the floor, behind the sultan's chambers (where the fountains are), I slipped well on it, and the aged lady fell well... and no warnings at all, and the rise is completely invisible(( Be careful! If you choose to go or not, then go to understand the people and the roots of the mentality of the locals... But this is provided WITHOUT visiting the museum)) It is better to stay in Dolmabakhche for the full price... but that's with my background... I heard from one person that Topkapi is about history, and Dolmabahce is about watching. So there's no story here unless you get it yourself. According to reviews, you also need to find a guide... what in our (Russian) view is called an Excursion is with a visitor / museum employee - there are no such people here at all.... I heard out of the corner of my ear what the local guides tell me - about an audio guide))

On 05.07.23, the ticket price for foreigners is 950 lire with a harem, 750 lire without a harem. It's expensive, but we went with pleasure, there is something to see) Before that, it was winter and some of the pavilions were closed. In summer, there are many times more people, but also more open and exposed than in winter. Come to the opening (9:00) and calmly look at everything in 3-4 hours.

The palace complex of the sultans is located on a huge territory on the mountain. It offers breathtaking views of the historical center of Istanbul, the Galata Bridge and the Bosphorus. In addition to the buildings themselves, there are also numerous collections of sultans, from weapons to family jewels. It makes sense to visit this complex with a guide.

Of course, if there is a financial opportunity to visit, it is necessary, and it is desirable to take a full tour, calculate the time, if you walk and watch, and not run, then four to six hours. We took an audio guide and were very happy, it's just not interesting to walk, souvenirs like everywhere else , snack bar , toilets, everything is fine. The expositions are interesting
