This is one of the places in Istanbul for a mandatory visit. The only thing I would like to note is that the audio guide is free, they give you a phone number on which you put the object number and listen to the description, it is not long, no more than a minute. But in order to take it, it is necessary to take a deposit, it is either money or a passport or a license, the audio guide phone does not always turn on at certain locations and to listen to the description you need to put the phone to your ear or turn on the sound at maximum and this will interfere with others. You can also take your headphones and follow the QR code and listen to the tour, but we did not check how it works, since the headphones were not taken.

A beautiful library. At the end of the palace on the left side there is a beautiful view of Istanbul - I recommend it for photo portraits. They didn't stand in line for antique relics after a couple of Dutch people said it wasn't worth it.

Let's start writing an HONEST review. Positive : -a gorgeous and beautiful historical place! - Fans of the Magnificent Century series will definitely like the history of these places. - Clean compared to the city. -everything is guarded and safe -free audio guide. Minuses : -The audio guide is just an old speakerphone. No headphones, etc. - IT'S IMPORTANT! Everything closes at 13:00 Be sure to come at 9-10 am! Otherwise, you'll just spend the money. A lot of people were not warned about this and came in after 12 and did not have time to go anywhere. They tried to return the money (I don't know the outcome?) . You shouldn't take a ticket to St. Irene. There's only one room and the walls are just bare. Tip: people don't understand how they defend queues. So just go ahead :) Don't buy a combo ticket to three places. But separately. Audio guide it is better to order a person because the audio is terrible) Well, you definitely need to come at 9-10 in the morning

A great pastime, it's the whole history of the Ottoman Empire, you can't get around the whole palace in one day, as there are a lot of interesting things on display. There will be an opportunity to visit, I recommend it.

A huge complex, enough to visit for half a day. Ticket prices are crazy, but it's definitely worth a visit. The audio guide is interesting, there are a lot of halls and buildings. Long queues for relics and jewelry.

Overall, the palace is impressive. But, without a guide, it is difficult to understand something. Audio guide (which is given free of charge as a deposit of 100 euros or a document) it will tell you something, but the purpose of most of the rooms will remain a mystery.

Of course, it's worth a visit. Especially the treasury, the kaftan museum and the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. For admission in February 24th, in rubles, 4,500 came out.

There are very few such museums in the world. To get acquainted with how the lords of the Middle Ages lived, to see in person the places where they hosted guests and ancient relics is just wonderful. I definitely advise you to visit. You won't regret it!!!

We were in October. At first with an excursion, but we didn't see much, so then we went on our own, taking our time. There are always a lot of people, so it's better to come to the opening, then you can get into all parts of the palace and quietly explore.

From 500 to 650 liras for foreigners, for locals 110/140 liras... The difference is significant, it's a bit expensive for a museum. It is not written anywhere that you need to leave a document for an audio guide, we have not seen it. There are a lot of people, but closer to closing, you can even take a picture without the crowd.

It is simply not possible to visit Istanbul and not visit Topkapi! A very interesting place, there are many museums on the territory, a harem with the sultan's chambers, pavilions ... the view from the balconies and terraces is fascinating!

A beautiful place that makes it clear how the rulers of the Ottoman Empire lived. Unique handmade tiles, oriental ornaments, household items, gardens... Walk a lot, train in advance, it's really better to spend the day, especially if you still go to the Harem. It is a pity that quite a few exhibits are on display and the audio guide leaves much to be desired. Like, "this is where something was located. Uninformative. It's much better in our Pushkin Museum. Although if you are without a course guide, perhaps you should take one. But you should definitely visit the palace. If there is a problem with time, then from my point of view, you can not visit the Harem. You won't lose much. The cost of visiting the palace is 60 lire, the Harem is 30 lire. An audigid, common to both the Harem and the palace, 20 lira and a passport or driver's license as a deposit, you can have one document for several people.

The palace itself and its location are very beautiful. But there are no expositions at all. Several exhibitions with weapons and dishes, in short, about nothing... The price tag is generally indecently high from 500-650 liras. If you don't walk, you won't lose anything.

It takes a lot of time to get around the entire palace, there are rooms from the magnificent century TV series, a beautiful hammam, a garden on the territory, but in the summer it is very hot, rather these excursions are suitable for autumn or spring, and it is even better to buy a subscription, for all palaces and museums, it turns out much cheaper

Divorce. Only the park is beautiful. Everything else does not correspond to the series from the word at all. There are a lot of people, although we were in December. There are long queues in the rooms, you go in hoping to see something interesting, and there are old things that all the sultans wore. In short, I do not recommend it

November 19, entrance at the ticket office next to the gate is 72 lira (about 800 rubles), an individual guide is 60 dollars (it is difficult to find a good one, I recommend it by the name of Nuri), a two-hour tour. The palace itself was not impressed, a lot is under restoration until the age of 23. There is virtually no luxury and details, so the general surroundings, walls, ceiling, floor have been replaced in many places, there is no furniture, only rooms with clocks and weapons. Without a guide, I would have walked there in half an hour, but a good guide tried to immerse us in the atmosphere of the past.

A visit in January 2022 cost 275 lire per person, including a visit to the harem. Part of it is under reconstruction, but there is still something to see. It costs 200 lire without a harem, but it makes sense to take a harem. There is little luxury, but of course there is historical interest: pavilions, a library, living rooms and hamams can be viewed. An audio guide requires a passport as collateral, so keep this in mind, because it will be boring without it.

It was beautiful, but very expensive for 750 lire, two weeks later my mother and I came to show her, we were already 950 lire with a museum card, we additionally pay 350 lire for visiting the harem. By the way, in the cafe there is a discount for those who have a kimlik or ikamet card, which they do not talk about at all and rip off full)) Am I saying Inderim? They are like this, it's only for Turks😄I show the document, reluctantly looks at it and makes a discount) well, there was ice cream for 120 lira, was it really such a pity to break through the discount😅

It looks like the Hermitage, but it is unreasonably expensive and there are no declared museum jewels (a couple of diamonds), and the rest is not earlier than the 19th century. The territory is very large, but there is absolutely illiterate logistics, piles of people and crowds pushing into the narrow fences of the premises.

The entrance is very expensive. 25 euros per person. Expectations regarding the ticket price were overestimated. As a result, the top three. As an example, last year we went to Rome, where the entrance to the Colosseum + ancient ruins cost 20 euros. It certainly doesn't compare with Topkapi in terms of impressions.
