A place with a history, interesting. Many M.B. are familiar from Turkish sermals. In Sultanahmet district near St. Sophia. But the organization is very lame. The Internet on the territory is poorly caught (perhaps because of the crowds of people), there is free wi-fi, but these are tears. It is better to take the audio guide provided by the museum, it is connected to another network and mostly catches, only without headphones this phone is an audio guide, it is inconvenient, and there is very little information. Russian Russian was replaced by some kind of strangely intelligible speech in a language close to, but not Russian, in the part of the exposition. Prices for foreigners are 6 (six, Carl) times higher than for locals, and the locals check the ID for each ticket, they will not be able to slip through. It is better to read about the palace in advance and look cleanly here and not at the tourist peak.

Entrance to the Topcaps 1500 lire - general overview + harem. The territory is very beautiful, exhibitions with decorations, dishes, weapons have been made. The views of the Bosphorus from the balconies are charming, the ornaments, tiles, and paintings in the buildings are very beautiful. It is necessary to lay 3-4 hours for inspection. The audio guide is free, all the musical notes are translated into Russian. There are crowds on Saturday and Sunday, you need to go on Monday, he has to work, fewer people. The entrance to the attractions is paid only in lira. Take care of the exchange earlier

This is an amazing place where you plunge into history from the inside. I highly recommend visiting the museum in the morning (come to the opening) there are not many people, the opportunity to take a photo without a crowd. Another great idea was that we first visited the harem, and only then went through the palace (again because of the crowd of people. The harem has small rooms and is very stuffy, so the fewer people there are, the more comfortable it is to enjoy the story). The place is definitely worth a visit. Tickets are expensive, it is possible to take an audio guide ( 100 euros deposit or passport)

It's expensive, 1500 rubles for guests is too much. Of course, it is interesting to visit with a guide, go through the guide without queuing, but all this is available to holders of visa and master cards abroad. And that means we carry cash (1500 rubles) to the cashier. From 9-10 is the optimal time, buses with groups are still on the way and you can have time to buy a ticket at the ticket office without queues. Next, a free audio guide turns out to be a pledge according to the passport (whoever warned about this in advance (besides, the audio guide for rent is an Android phone with downloaded audio tracks that are convenient to listen to with headphones - not a word about it)). The staff also helps to install an alternative mobile application on your phone and activate the QR audio guide from the ticket. Only then does a new problem begin - the connection inside the museum (lte or WiFi) is only at the gate, and the tracks swing for a long time. And if the connection is broken, the audio track either did not download, or was duplicated into the phone. There is no indoor connection. There is no WiFi coverage for 1500l. In addition, some audio tracks for the menu in Russian play Polish content (apparently, it looks like one fig to the developers). The narrator himself is not interesting. Information for 1500l is scarce. The numbers of the records (exhibits) inside the desired objects are not visible and are not explicitly marked. Queues: if you are a cunning foreigner with a visa card or a master and walked past the queue to enter with a free pass, then inside you will still be queuing for the necessary exhibits due to poor logistics in building an incoming inspection (visitors move chaotically from object to object inside the museum and create queues). Of course, the place is beautiful, significant, but the organization for 1500 rubles from the nose is disgusting. Our advice: buy a good Russian-speaking guide (not all the guides inside told their groups in Russian interestingly) or, at worst, take a free audio guide in exchange for a passport with headphones (and get ready to look for numbers on the right exhibits and listen to Polish in the tracks).

"The Magnificent Century" is a popular Turkish TV series, filming of historical scenes took place in the palace of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, which is now called Topkapi or cannon Gate. I enjoyed looking at the antique weapons encrusted with precious stones. Orders of the Ottoman Empire and gifts from envoys of other states, including the Russian state. There are 4 courtyards on the territory of the palace park. Each one has unique trees, the age is measured in hundreds of years. When we went to Hagia Sophia the day before, I was very sorry that I did not take the audio guide. And on the way to Topkapi I reminded my wife to buy it. It turned out that there is an audio guide in the Sultan's Palace, but it is very strange. You make the payment, leave your passport as a deposit and receive a small box. She's not wearing headphones. And in one of the pavilions, your Russian audio guide independently changes the language to Serbian. And then - back. It happened several times and not only for me. So I recommend that you think before buying this service. It is better to allocate a whole day to inspect the entire Topkapi. Take into account its huge territory, the queue at the entrance and security checkpoints.

After reading the reviews of other visitors, I did not plan to visit the Topkapi Palace. But, as they say, the taste and color. I was pleasantly surprised. I was at the palace at the end of May. I liked it very much. Taking photos and videos in the palace is now allowed. And if you don't want to stand in a long queue, come early for the opening, at 9-10 o'clock.
I really liked the halls with clothes from the time of the sultans - unusual and authentic. A large area for walking, a treasury, an armory, dishes, calligraphy, sacred relics. There is a beautiful exit and a view of the bay.
Many people speak poorly about the audio guide in Russian. I did not take the audio guide, it was enough for me to read the descriptions that are located next to the exhibits and in the halls. But this is if you are familiar with Turkish or English. So I practiced reading in English. As they say, combining the pleasant with the useful.
I highly recommend this place to visit - do not pay attention to the negative reviews. And if it is important for you to always have your own opinion, come, because it is always more interesting to see with your own eyes. At least it's worth seeing once.

A beautiful palace!!A storehouse of history and beauty!!!I want to learn more and more about him after watching it!!! I would like another cafe to be set up on the territory, or coffee machines to relax and keep warm! Audio guides need to be checked, there is no information in Russian at some points. You need to attach strings to the audio guides (they are in the form of a mobile phone). to hang it around your neck and not be afraid to drop it!!!

The most famous monument for tourists to visit, but also the most expensive. The price is 1,500 lire per person (it's about $50).
A very beautiful historical place, you can see the harem, the chambers of the sultans and their valides. Take beautiful photos against the background of the Bosphorus. But I still think that the price tag is too high.

The museum complex. It consists of a large palace complex, a harem and a museum. A single ticket (1,500 lire in 2024) tickets are not sold separately at the entrance, only there are kiosks near the museum and the harem (500 lire). If you want to see the expositions of the palace complex, then only with a general ticket. In 4.5 hours without a tour, we were able to see only part of it. Very beautiful views, a huge number of exhibits. You can download the audio guide if you have the Internet))).

Of course, history and so on is good. But we would all mostly like moments from a magnificent century. The chambers of Hurrem and Sultan are closed to the public. There is no furniture anywhere. At least the props would have been left out of the series. There's nothing to watch on the show. You walk for 3-4 hours without doing anything and look at the walls and ceiling. That's it, as it were. There is nothing to do here for fans of the series.

It's a beautiful place, for 2024 the entrance to the museum is +-50$, but it's worth it. It is very beautiful inside, there are many places to walk. It is better not to take an excursion, but to go yourself, because there are not particularly queues (and individual guides are afraid of them), and it takes a lot of time to see everything. It takes about five hours in total. But we must remember that the palace is open until 3-4 days, because there is no electricity and only daylight. It's a cool place, I highly recommend it

The beauty of the East) Ornaments, columns, carvings, garden. Jewelry on weapons, helmets, sultan gloves. Magnificent view of the Bosphorus from the terraces. Victory pavilions and a mysterious harem. With a huge number of rooms, passages, nooks and crannies and, in my opinion, without a single tree. But there are plenty of them in the decorations of the state halls.
Tickets, my friends, we took for 1,500 lira (4,500 re) - the palace itself, the cathedral of Irina, the harem. We took an audio guide (for free). He's not much use, just a couple of sentences. History was made in this palace. Impressed by the place!
I didn't like the audio guide. They give out a simple smartphone with an application. There is too much music in the stories "and now listen to such and such a work by such and such an author, which is so and so" and the composition starts for 3 minutes out of 4 allotted to the story about a specific point. The application really lacks a map with a built route or route options. The tour number is not indicated everywhere at the entrance to the new zone. In the current format, the walk is chaotic.

Let's start writing an HONEST review.
Positive :
-a gorgeous and beautiful historical place!
- Fans of the Magnificent Century series will definitely like the history of these places.
- Clean compared to the city.
-everything is guarded and safe
-free audio guide.
Minuses :
-The audio guide is just an old speakerphone. No headphones, etc.
- IT'S IMPORTANT! Everything closes at 13:00
Be sure to come at 9-10 am! Otherwise, you'll just spend the money. A lot of people were not warned about this and came in after 12 and did not have time to go anywhere. They tried to return the money (I don't know the outcome?)
. You shouldn't take a ticket to St. Irene. There's only one room and the walls are just bare.
Tip: people don't understand how they defend queues. So just go ahead :)
Don't buy a combo ticket to three places. But separately. Audio guide it is better to order a person because the audio is terrible)
Well, you definitely need to come at 9-10 in the morning

The price for tourists is overstated by as much as 6(!!!!) the entrance fee is 1500 rubles (about $ 50), while for locals it is only 250 rubles. I have never seen such lawlessness anywhere.
Disgusting and boorish attitude of the staff.
After we passed the ticket turnstiles, one of the three of us lost the ticket. After that, one person was simply not allowed into the harem, although he was included in the price on this ticket. I don't see the logic in this, because we passed the turnstile with a ticket. Obviously, we couldn't go in without paying. The frustration of spending a fairly large amount and such a rude attitude of the staff.
I can notice the palace itself and the territory are beautiful, but the organization, price and attitude of tourists are disgusting. I'm unlikely to go a second time or recommend it to someone.
