A wonderful museum! We bought a set ticket: an exposition + a light show, and we went to the show the same evening, since the museum was already closing, and we visited the museum the next day, in the morning. The show took place in the citadel itself, was broadcast on the walls and towers - it was very colorful, we liked it. You can take an audio guide to the museum, it is in Russian, it tells about the history of the city. There are a lot of exhibits, there are screens and projections on the walls, which tell about different periods of history - from the foundation to the present, I especially liked the halls of "holidays" and "gallery with music". And everything is very lively, without tediousness. I found the only drawback - the signs with the sequence of halls were not quite clear, so we looked at them out of order, but in the end we found everything. The story is very delicate, and no one was offended - neither Jews, nor Muslims, nor Christians. In addition, you can bypass all the walls and towers of the citadel - there are convenient paths and stairs with handrails. There are several viewing platforms at the top, which offer stunning views of the Old Town. But we were on a windy day, it literally blows away from the playgrounds))) Tickets to the citadel aren't cheap, but it's definitely worth going! There are toilets on site, and a cafe at the ticket offices.

The view of the city is wonderful, it is interesting to walk along the walls. But it's too much to pay 40 shekels for that alone. I was in three halls of the museum: not a single ancient exhibit, only photos, pictures, text, TV. I didn't even waste time on the rest of the halls. I can see pictures on the Internet.
