It's a very atmospheric and unusual place. The new church was built inside the destroyed old one. Very friendly priests. Amazing art cafe in the old monastery. We went up to the bell tower, there is a small museum with its own cozy atmosphere and history. We were accompanied by two girls, they told us a lot. You can buy souvenirs.

An incredible place! It seems to me that there is no need to restore the roof. Cover with something transparent from precipitation and leave as it is. Perhaps I have never seen such an impression of a collision with history anywhere. Restoring the roof will ruin everything. There is also a flood marker on the wall at the entrance to the church in 1931. Then the Western Dvina rose by almost fourteen (!) meters. It takes your breath away!

There is a museum on the territory of the church, a real border post. You can hear the bells ringing, climb the bell tower and even ring the bells. Parts of the temple require reconstruction. With God's help, the parishioners, under the guidance of the rector, are carrying out work on the conservation of the building. These people create the conditions for the revival of the church. There is no better location to hold a sacred music festival here. The hospitable and mysterious Druja beckons to you. I will definitely come back here…
