The Church of St. John the Baptist is located on the territory of the Dudutki Museum complex. In 2006, it was decided to build a new temple on the site of the old one. The temple was built in 2007 and all the work is completed in a year, its lighting takes place on July 7, 2008. Guests from the monastery of Montenegro were invited to the celebration, who donated an icon with fragments of the relics of St. Nicholas. St. John the Baptist, which is sacred to all Christians. A special feature of the Temple is the iconostasis, which is decorated with straw. Master Vera Soldatova used the technique of folk straw weaving and the straw royal gates - an exact reconstruction of the royal gates of the XVIII century. I really liked the Temple, it was quiet, peaceful and full of grace. There is also a decoration in the form of birch trees from the Trinity in the hall, beautiful and cozy, in the same style as the entire Dudutki museum complex. You can put candles, order prayer services. It is located close to the entrance to the museum complex. I recommend you to visit!
