A notable church to the left of the Castilian Compound is opposite the Church of St. Mary the Conqueror. The entrance to the city center is impossible to miss. Merchant street starts from here. Apparently, the market closes quite early on Sunday, as we saw this street empty. The shops are quite interesting, but they are also closed. The cafes here are pleasant, especially the French affair, where you could try Maltese rabbit for 20 euros. The street runs through the whole city from Castile Square to Fort St.Elma.
