My family visited the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Zheleznyaki, and it was a real revelation for me. The architecture and nature around us are striking in their beauty and harmony. Every corner of this place is steeped in history and spirituality. During my stay, I was able to reflect on life, ask myself important questions and find answers to them. Father Roman and Mother Anna created an atmosphere of unity and support. Many thanks to them for their hospitality! I recommend everyone to visit such a holy place at least once in their life. This is not only an opportunity to touch culture and traditions, but also a chance to look deep into yourself, find peace and inspiration.Visiting a holy place is always a special and exciting event. Entering such a sanctuary, you feel how the surrounding atmosphere fills the soul with peace and tranquility.

St. Nicholas Church. The church was opened in 1900 and consecrated in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church was built at the expense of the natives of these places, the Korotkevich brothers. In the 1920s and 1930s, the church was closed, some of the icons were dismantled by local residents, the rest of the property - church utensils, books, icon decorations — were requisitioned, the bells and domes were thrown from the temple and destroyed. A grain storage and fertilizer storage facility were set up in the temple building. Later, the building was completely abandoned, and the interior frescoes and murals were irretrievably lost. In 2004, work began on the restoration of the temple in the village.

We were here on a guided tour today. We are very grateful to Priest Roman and his family for their hospitality, spirituality and sincerity. For the meal, for the comfort. I want to return to this church, to these people.
