The place itself is pleasant, there is an opportunity to drive up to the church by car. A large number of storks and their nests create comfort, including the nest above the bell tower. The place itself is fenced off with grass and has no clear signs or descriptions of what happened to the church. There is a small wooden church nearby, but it was closed on weekdays.

It is a remarkable architectural monument, but it has been in need of restoration for a very long time, and this, as you know, is a very difficult and very costly matter. So the building is waiting for its turn. I must say that much has been done in the city of Mstislavl and the district in recent years in terms of the restoration of ancient buildings. These places have a rich history and many legends. At the beginning of the XV century, the Mstislavsky Onufrievsky monastery was founded here. The church was built only at the beginning of the 19th century. One of the legends says that the ball on the church spire is made entirely of gold. All those people who wanted to take it down did not die a natural death. With the arrival of the Soviet authorities, the monastery was turned into a school, and a sports hall was equipped in the building of the church of St. Onufry. Then the temple was abandoned, and even the roof was dismantled – they began to make stoves out of it. There is at least one other interesting legend about this church... But, I forgot. Maybe someone knows her and will write in the reviews.

A very interesting place, and very neglected. Ruins. But as an intermediate point, it is quite worthy. They didn't go inside, everything is collapsing. The place is favored by storks, there is a nest on every free patch and storks stick out)
